Good story with an excellent performance + pie
The book did become a little intense for me but I don't usually listen to scary stories. I was satisfied with the ending so all is right in my wimpy world. The narrator did a great job and kept me riveted. I got up at 2 am because I needed to find out how everything came out. I cleaned the kitchen and made lemon meringue pie while finishing the book. All those lights were totally necessary. That's my story and I'm sticking with it.

Great voice and LOVED the plot twist!!
Josh is not my favorite narrator, his voice doesn't flux like some do, but I'll totally admit he was the reason I listened.
The story line was AWESOMENESS too, the twists had me thinking one way and then WHAM, it went a totally different way!
Totally recommend, great thriller!

Please Tell Me There's a Sequel -- or a Series!
Excellent. Fully held my interest from start to finish. Josh Jackson's performance set the pace and kept it there with palpable urgency. I'd love to see this become a series of novels. Two thumbs up.

Great Busy Listening
This was a surprise find in our “included with your membership” list. We both listen to audiobooks while we are stitching and this was the perfect listen while working on a deadline. Just engaging enough to help pass the time. The story was unique enough to hold our attention without lulls that would cause us to miss the thread (HA! Fiber artist puns) of the story. In fact, there were a couple of twist that made the whole listen enjoyable overall. And, BTW, was the story of Nate’s family and the house where they lived an actual story we read about a couple of years ago? Anyway…
The story was well written, nicely paced, and original. Joshua Jackson did a great job narrating carrying the story along without sounding forced of contrived in his characterization of the players in the story.
We would definitely recommend this if you are a fan of supernatural mystery thrillers without all of the pulp and fluff.
