Two different lives...

Two different hopes...

Only one will survive...

Tanel, a quiet poet born into the battle-driven clan of Mil'chama. The heavily trained boy struggles to find his way, wishing for a more peaceful existence. Vinn, a young man tired of watching his people suffer because they’re ill-prepared to defend themselves. The warrior at heart has had enough and is ready to fight back. As the two stand on the opposing sides of the battlefield, face to face, one of these coming-of-age stories will have an early end. One will die at the hands of the other. The question is which?

This is a delightful story despite the fact that the narrator is a bit dull

I love the whole concept of two people who come from different homes with different ideas of living. One character comes from a place of peace but wants to fight. While the other character comes from a home where you must fight and kill to considered a man otherwise there are consequences! While these two characters comes from different lives actually have a lot in common with not agreeing to live the life that is expected of them! As the title suggest one of them does die and when I got to it, it made complete sense and was a good decision for the overall story! If your looking for a great character driven story where it keeps you guessing to find out what will happen give this book a listen to you will not regret it!

Honestly could be a much better production

My biggest complaint is with the reader of this audiobook. His voice is boring. He sounds bored. He doesn't sound like he's reading an adventure story; he sounds like he's reading an accounting ledger.

The story starts off kinda slow and on audio I found it hard to track what exactly was going on and who the characters were and what the environment was like to give context to the story. But once I finally got to the climax of the story I was hooked. The part near the end where you have two characters with the same goal, but different means to that goal and they end up sabotaging each other's plans. That makes for a great story!

Great Book

I liked reading this book (audiobook).
It was well written and interesting.
A nice tale of not sticking to “tradition”

Gripping action

Wow what can I say , : C. T. Ortega , the author, wrote a heart gripping story . It’s full of mystery and suspense, a decision that will haunt the souls of both men .
Both young men need to make a decision what is right for mankind and themselves. Grab it and find out what the lesson is .

First time I heard Octavio Preciado. . He brought the story to life. He’s very very good .

good story but...

Good well developed story. Characters are well developed & relatable. Narration on the other hand is absolutely horrible. This could have been a 5 star all around with a different narrator.
