Publisher's summary

Whitewater rivers are deadly enough without monsters haunting their banks. As Jake Jessup discovered, these monsters wanted his blood...and the blood of his friends and family.

It had been a rough five years for Memphis Police Officer Jake Jessup. Blaming himself for the death of two partners, a divorce, and almost losing his job, the three-day canoe and kayak trip in the Ozarks sounded like the perfect way to reconnect with family and friends, and to put old demons to rest. What he found instead were a new set of demons, only these were real...and deadly.

A float turns tragic for a group of boaters when a secret military project escapes into the Ozark Mountains of West Arkansas. But the people behind the project may turn out to be an even bigger threat than those with four legs.

They’re going to wish it was just a banjo player in the woods.

Listen to Night Terror now because it’s still not safe to get back on the water!

Book one of the Genetics Investigation Team thrillers. Previously published as The Float.

Great story

I listened to the audiobook in 1 day. I really enjoyed the story can’t wait to read another from the author. The narrator was great also.

Good story

I didn’t think I’d like it as much as I did…but it was exciting and I liked the characters. I will likely buy another book by this author…

Why I don't go camping any more

Every once in a while I just want to listen to an audio book about a "MONSTER ON THE LOOSE". You know?
When I was a kid, one of my favorite comics was "Where Monsters Dwell".
A GOOD, or at least decent story with a scary monster, and that is action filled.
A story racing along with out too many 'smushly love scenes', or over done really "BAD" people who have no other motivation except to just be bad, or too many STUPID characters who do the stupidest things.
That's all.
Night Terror delivers on all - good story, semi smart characters, no mushy love scenes, and SCARY monster(s).
I'm lining up the rest of the books in this series ( when mutated animals attack books 1 through 6) so when I have the 'need to read' to a MONSTER STORY,
I have on ready.

Thank you Russ Tilton

P.S. - ...and most importantly, this audio book has a very good Narrator who never got in the way of the tale.
Thank you Sam Graham.

Entertaining and scary

Great story quite scary in parts and I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I don't ever want to encounter baboons in the wild now. Or ever.

Night Terror

Great story, I’m really glad I came across this author, he can write a scary and believable tale. I loved his choice of animal to be the monsters, wouldn’t take much to do that with baboons as some species are already quite big and aggressive

Had to force myself to finish

I actually didn’t mind the story but the author was terrible and I had to hard time getting through this book.

Not scary or exciting

A few minutes within the first few pages of the book hinted at a scary read. But it dropped like a stone and was boring, read in a dull voice.
Stopped reading during the first 3rd of the book and returned it.

Poor execution

I am a sucker for 'B' Sci Fi or monster movies, and I was hoping this book would be like that. While I did enjoy the secret government animal modification aspect, the story tried to take itself too seriously and failed. The last 1/3 of the book was so slow that I almost stopped. It was just sort of mehhh overall.
