Good read, Great performance
Although the Kidnapping investigation ending is predictable, the rest of the book was very good. I hope the romances of the detectives continue into the next book.

Characters are confused
This storyline was one of the better, more interesting of the red series, and it was enjoyable to listen to them unfold.
The characters seem to be confused, however, especially Cheryl, who at the end of NYPD Red 5, mysteriously developed a Latina accent. This book started the same way, but then it morphed into an Irish woman. Why? She was from New York? Why all of the sudden did the narrator feel the need to give her an accent? It was confusing, and unnecessary, and made her parts difficult to listen to.

This is a good crime novel. The plot turns were good and I could not guess what would happen next. I can't wait to read NYPD Red 7! (I assume there wil be a 7th book in the series).
