Suspense, abandonment and romance
When I started listening, I wondered if I wanted to continue. The interaction between a teenage girl and her cold dogmatic mother was not what I wanted. But, Wait, the story picks up quickly and soon you can't stop listening.
Julia Whelan's reading truly brought the story to life. She kept exactly the right tone as we moved from crime, suspense to romance.
A terriffic listen. You'll love it!

One of the best!
What made the experience of listening to The Witness the most enjoyable?
This is an unusual and interesting storyline, I just had to keep listening, to find out what happened next.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Witness?
As usual, the ending.
Which scene was your favorite?
Well, there were many, but the scenes with her mother are very profound.

SO GOOD!
This is the first Nora Roberts book I've read/listened to and I was so surprised I liked it so much.
I am used to a bit more heavy hard-hitting sex in the romance books I read, but I must admit, the lack of sex in this book in no way detracted from my enjoyment of the story.
The story was brilliantly written, and kept me entertained til the very last page. The narrator did a smashing job on this one and from my point of view, this narration is up there with some of the best of them.
One of the best of the year for me.

Nora Roberts you have such a variety of books, and I think I have them all!

Entertaining!
Loved it, couldn't find enough time to listen. Was mad when I couldn't listen at work. The story was thrilling and had perfect flow, the characters were so we'll written.
