Publisher's summary

Determined to live a dark life in the company of the assassin who freed her from bondage, Sarai sets out on her own to settle a score with an evil sadist. Unskilled and untrained in the art of killing, the events that unfold leave her hanging precariously on the edge of death when nothing goes as planned.

Sarai's reckless choices send her on a path she knows she can never turn back from and so she presents Victor with an ultimatum: Help her become more like him and give her a fighting chance, or she'll do it alone no matter the consequences. Knowing that Sarai cannot become what she wants to be overnight, Victor begins to train her and inevitably their complicated relationship heats up.

As Arthur Hamburg's right-hand man, Willem Stephens, closes in on his crusade to destroy Sarai, she is left with the crushing realization that she may have bitten off more than she can chew. But Sarai, taking on the new and improved role of Izabel Seyfried, still has a set of deadly skills of her own that will prove to be all she needs to secure her place beside Victor.

But there is one test that Izabel must face that has the potential to destroy everything she is working so hard to achieve. One final test that will not only make her question her decision to want this dangerous life, but will make her question everything she has come to trust about Victor Faust.

SOME PEOPLE KILL FOR MONEY...OTHERS FOR REVENGE

J. A. Redmerski is a new author for me and she is 'kick ass.' In the Company of Killers is in my top 5 crime/suspense/thriller series.

This is NOT a romance series. If you are faint of heart or all chocolate and flowers romance books you need to skip this series.

This second book, Reviving Izabel, starts exactly where Killing Sarai left off. (Izabel is Sarai's new name). Sarai wants to stay with Victor and be a part of the 'Order' but Victor knows that can't happen, especially since he was supposed to kill her and has been lying to the 'Order.' So Victor decides to take Sarai on a contracted assassination to show her that she doesn't want that type of life... but, Victor's intent backfires.

Victor finally talks Sarai into leaving him and leading a normal life for a 23 year old female. Victor sets up Sarai and a childhood neighbor in a house, Sarai starts going to college, she makes friends including a boy friend. But she can't let go of Victor. She thinks about him everyday and especially when having sex with her boyfriend.

Six months goes by with her struggling to maintain some type of normalcy. Remember Sarai went on a job with Victor....well, she see's the target's spouse on TV talking about all the money he's contributing to charities and all the good he's doing. He's actually a sick sex craved scum bag and it angers Sarai that he's pretending to be all good. So Sarai decides that she's going to kill him. Because she's inexperienced her plan backfires but someone comes to her rescue....that's right VICTOR.

IMPORTANT: The only other thing I'm going to tell you is that Fredrik, a good friend and co-worker of Victor's, enters the story. Frederik's specialty is interrogation torture. There are a few very descriptive torture scenes of teeth being pulled out with pliers, needles pushed under the finger nails, and you hear the victims crying, yelling, and begging. My stomach actually got queasy.

A lot happens in this story and It's fast paced. It's a can't stop listening, edge of your seat, heart pounding, thrilling suspense and sometime queasy stomach. As soon as this book finished I went to the 3rd book, Fredrik's story, 'The Swan and the Jackal.'

Stephen Bel Davies and Kate Reinders gave an all consuming performance.

This book is absolutely worth the credit or dollars. Just get it.

If you haven't met Victor Faust..do it now!

This is book 2 of In the Company of Killers, it was better than the first and #1 was very good. These characters are assassins and along with murder comes romance and intrigue.
The writing is wonderful, one of those stories that you can picture in your mind. The narration is good and will grow on you, I kind of like them now. #3 looks great and ready to download now!

To was better then expected.

Sarai was a bit whiny but it was good overall. I like how it's cut throat and sexual all at the same time.

No one to care about

The characters in this novel are shallow and two-dimensional. The author uses scenes of passion to try to develop the main characters, but this seems more like softcore porn than something that adds to the plot which itself is pretty thin and formulaic. The performance was substandard. Either the author used inappropriate words or the performers misread them. I found the male performer particularly irritating and not fit for the character he was portraying. My most disappointing download to date.
