The narration ruined this book
I honestly cannot give a good review on the story, so I’m giving it the benefit of the doubt. The narration was horrible. I suffered through it since I bought the book, but I’ll never listen to a book with these narrators again.

Pike's narrator was terrible!
Whomever talked as Pike was ANGRY ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's really hard to constantly listen to such an angry and intense reader - even during non-intense times. I almost stopped listening dozens of times but the story was so great I persevered. If he's in the next one I'm returning it. It's like reading dozens of emails in all caps. No down time!

Excellent First Novel
This was an excellent novel, especially for the first one from a new author. I chose to read this book because I knew Brad Taylor in college and honestly I wasn't expecting much since the other reviews were horrible. I was amazed what a great book it was. The story was fascinating and every turn kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters felt real and I was right there with Pike and Jennifer from the US, South America, and Europe. Although the book is fiction, the book was written from a knowledge base that made the story believable. Not like some books where you think "that could never happen". Brad did a great job writing the book and I can't wait to read the next one.
The only thing I found distracting was having a man do a poor imitation of Jennifer's voice in the book. If a book is going to have two narrators, maybe the one who does the woman's voice should be a woman? Otherwise overall great audio book!
