Dead Six - topical, current, and fun

Would you listen to Dead Six again? Why?

I will more than likely listen to the story again. I enjoyed the character and enjoyed the multiple view point perspective to the story.

What other book might you compare Dead Six to and why?

Due to narrator the main character sound much like the main characters from Monster Hunters International, and Hard Magic. The story could be taken from any of the current headlines from the news agencies.

Have you listened to any of Bronson Pinchot’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, and he continued to give great different voices for the characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I barely get through a comic book in one sitting, I am lucky if I cant to step 4 on most instructions.

Any additional comments?

Good story, if you are into military spy espionage stories then it will be that steak you love or hate.

Moves fast and keeps you wanting more.

I loved the tempo and intrigue, and Bronson Pinchot does an amazing job at distinguishing the characters personalities.

solid beginning to the series

The two authors are friends, mesh well together, and have a good shared vision of the world that they create in the story.

In the audio version, sometimes it can become confusing where one concept begins and another ends. The authors help to remedy this by labeling whose perspective the story is being told from at any given time. This is very helpful.

I have caught short stories by these authors before, so it felt comfortable to slide into the setting and style again.

People are human in the story, adults are adults, not children or cardboard cut-outs.

The tactical and firearm tid-bits expressed in the story are realistic, rendering authentic emotion from realistic characters REALLY going through legitimate torment and joy.

Speaking of which, the reader does an excellent job is excellent job performing all of the varied voices for the story. I rated the narration 4 / 5 largely because as he tried to express firearm concepts, it was very apparent he did not know know how these things are usually pronounced.

Other than that, the voice talent was top drawer!

Great writing

Great writing, but terrible narration. His voice is great, and he articulates well... but the voices ruin it. Outside of cartoons.. people dont sound like that. Really annoying. Its a shame because the guy can read a story.

Perfect Performance

Weile the Story is clichéd and weapon heavy the performance is unbelievably good.
Action is not enough to describe the carnage in the book.

Bronson Pinchot is Awesome!

What does Bronson Pinchot bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He has a knack for voices and characters. His pacing is fantastic and he adds an element of great acting when the dialogue or situation warrants it.

Its MHI Without The Monsters, Its GREAT!!!!

I got this book only because Larry Correia was one of the authors. Adding to it Bronson Pinchot as the narrator and it was sold!! This book is a bit similar to Monster Hunter International without the monsters part.. And whats new in it that you have 2 main characters, which for some reason took a while to notice (similar names). One of them is a patriot and the other is a criminal and a thief. Its a good mix and certain events lead them to interact with each other.

What i didn't like is the creation of a new country to plot this story around, So basically there is all the countries that we know about, that are currently existing, but why did they have to create a new country to plot this story around?? it was a bit annoying.

And narration was amazing, Bronson Pinchot is talented and his narration is fantastic. His ability to change accents and languages was really good.

Oh and action wise, full full full of action and guns.. Amazing!!!!

Pre-ordered book 2 already.
