Oh, the coat. The coat. And it did stop the stun.

What about Susan Ericksen’s performance did you like?

Susan has become the voice of Eve Dallas. Other series have changed narrators in mid-series, but I can not imagine it here.

J.D. Robb is my favorite author. I always look forward to the next in the series. I love all the main characters in this series. I would recommend it to all my friends.

Enjoyable but perhaps it's time for a twist!

I really enjoy all the characters Robb has created. Eve and Rourke, Peabody and McNabb. Robb does a great job intermixing them all.

This book has the entertainment value I have come too enjoy from these characters but I still feel something is missing! They are still enjoyable and I will still continue to read. I just hope something big or different happens before my love of these characters is no longer able to hold my interest

Would you listen to Calculated in Death again? Why?

I would definitely listen to it again. I love the characters and the humor. I've listened to all of her books quite a few times. I know each time I'll enjoy them.

What other book might you compare Calculated in Death to and why?

I enjoy all of her books and she has such a definite style that it would have to be one of them. She just gets better and better.

What about Susan Ericksen’s performance did you like?

Susan Ericksen has a definite voice for each character. I never thought that I would say this as I love reading books but audio is the format of the Death series that I read (listen to) first.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Dallas & Roark's conversations. If you left one or the other out of the book it wouldn't be the same.

Any additional comments?

If I got stuck on a desert island Robb's books had better be there too or I start swimming.

DALLAS fan

Each book can stand alone with a solid police story but the best is reading them in the order they were written. I appreciate the character development and maturing relationships with each book. The narration is spot on and keeps the characters fresh even when there is the habitual phrases or wording expected from each character.
This series is a solid winner and is one I have enjoyed for a second and third listen..like any well loved story..I hear something new each time.

Where does Calculated in Death rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It is hard for me to believe that I have listened to all 36 of the series, it feels like they are getting shorter and less "eventful" - I still love the characters, but maybe somehow they need to get shook up a bit.

Another two day read or listen in this case. Love these books. Over time they can be a bit predictable but even at that I love the characters so much that it's okay. Can't wait for the next one in Sept.

Very good. I love the Death series and the characters never bore me

Who was your favorite character and why?

Rouke is my favorite character. I just love how he handles Dallas in his own way, give her enough space and then reels her back in for her "talking to" when she needs one.

What does Susan Ericksen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Susan Ericksen is a wonderful narrator for the "death series". I love the voices she uses and honestly can not imagine anyone else narrating them

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Peabody always makes me laugh!

A favourite series for me

I love this series and its characters!

It was a bit predictable at times but still, truly enjoyable.
Ms Ericksen was NOT in top form, sorry to say.

All in all, a good read (listen). Looking forward to the next one.
