Nominated, Gumshoe Award, 2008

A decade postmilitary, Jack Reacher has an ATM card and the clothes on his back—no phone, no ties, and no address. But now a woman from his old unit has done the impossible. From Chicago, Frances Neagley finds Reacher using a signal only the eight members of their elite team of army investigators would know. She tells him a terrifying story about the brutal death of a man they both served with. Soon Reacher is reuniting with the survivors of his old team, scrambling to raise the living, bury the dead, and connect the dots in a mystery that is growing darker by the day.

In a world of bad luck and trouble, when someone targets Jack Reacher and his team, they'd better be ready for what comes right back at them.

One of the better Reachers

I’m working my way thru the Reacher series. This is one of the better ones. If you’re cherry-picking from the series, pick this one. If you’re binging the whole series, enjoy!

I liked it !

For the most part i liiked listening to this Audiobook, but I did have a couple complaints. I thought the author dropped the ball when he allowed Reacher and company to be followed every other chapter, that is just something Reacher and his partners would never let happen. He/they are just to well trained and to smart. This was an obvious mistake. I think the helicopter scenes were drawn out to the point of excessivness.

One of the best so far

I love Jack Reacher and this series. I love the predictability and unpredictability of each of these books. I don't give every one five stars, however, this one is especially good because it brings back people from Jack's past. You get to know him even more than usual.

A good read

it was nice to see Reacher with a group of people instead of being a loner with a hundred strangers trying to kill him. also, it was interesting that he has some self doubt regarding money and his lack of interest in making it.

dick hill as always was monotone and dry, but I'm learning to live with it.

Definitely keeps the high caliber of the Jack Reacher books. Very intriguing, enjoyable and entertaining. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys a good all around mystery, action and loyalty to friends book.
