Wonderful Mystery with a hint of romance

Would you listen to A Toxic Trousseau again? Why?

Xe Sands is an AMAZING narrator, she really makes you feel connected to the characters. Juliet Blackwell is a terrific writer. I love a good mystery, throw in a bit of magic and that is even better. What I like about the series is that she doesn't go overboard with the romance. The book is light, but captivating.

This is the 8th book of Juliet Blackwell's "Witchcraft Mystery" series. Each book just gets better and more fun! This was an exciting story, the books plot lines were solved, and yet the reader knows they can't wait for the next book!
As always, Xe Sands is a knock out of the ballpark narrator.

this is an absolutely amazing book series. with complex and compelling characters blended with real locations, blended with extremely well researched witchcraft lore and legend. not to mention the phenomenally talented narrator's performance never misses a beat.

I’ve read this cozy mystery series since it first came on the market but you can read them as stand alones. However, there are character relationships that will make more sense if you do read them in order. In this book Adrian leaves town and puts Lily in charge and holding “the satchel,” which is a mystery in itself with no backstory. However, the backstory of Adrian might be helpful to know. This book also dangles an impending magical showdown involving this absent character but the ending is NOT in any way a cliff-hanger. The book has a conclusion. Well done, Miss Blackwell!

This is a light hearted series with loveable paranormal characters such as Lily’s familiar pig/goblin named Oscar. This books revolves around a law suit caused by him. The plot twists keeps the story from having a predictable ending. I love how the author throws us off the scent with every turn of the page.

Lily and Sailors relationship took on a more settled down/stable tone in this book. There are also some new and interesting characters introduced which I am sure will be in future books for which I can hardly wait!

LOVE the narrator who brings it all to life.

What made the experience of listening to A Toxic Trousseau the most enjoyable?

It's best to read from the beginning and work your way threw the serious but how every you do read it, just read it! It's charming and very insightful to how people really treat each other. And the magic is there.
