Story of strength and perseverance

Really enjoy this story. Evelyn has been through so much trauma in her life, but she never gave up. Loved how she kept trying to restart her life not only to save herself, but as not to let anyone else get hurt along the way.
Lucas is every woman’s dream. He strong, protective, good looking and would do anything for the people in his life. Most of all he sees only the beauty in his partner.
Love the idea of Resting Warrior Ranch a place for those suffering from PTSD to find peace and safety to heal and recover. Also to train support animals.
I always enjoy Emma Wilder’s performance and this was no different.
This was my first experience with Connor Brown.

Wonderful story

Love this series! Started with book three and then listened to book one. Will listen to book two today and then the rest of the series. Always love these broken people who have found each other and bonded together to form their own families. So much love. 💕

Great book

Loved the story line. It held great suspense and love. I would recommend to anyone that loves a flare of western, love and mix in the suspense of what will happen next with the main characters. This book also shows the reality of PTSD in the real world. Now on to book two I go.

What a hopeful story of living with and navigating trauma. Evelyn’s past was devastating, but her connection to Lucas and his farm full of animals helps her find light in her life. Quick read with satisfying HEA.

Great story bit not female narrator

I absolutely loved this story. What a great tragedy to wonderful plot. Characters were great and the action flowed seamlessly. The male narrator was great but the female narrator was horrible!! Whiny high pitched voice that was almost babyish and hard to listen to.

I don’t like female narrator’s voice at all.

She sounds whiny. The end of her sentences are drawn out in a whiny voice. I couldn’t get past listening to an hour of this. So I have no idea if the story is good except, isn’t it generally known that you don’t contact anyone from your previous life when you’re on the run. Shouldn’t an adult know that. It’s ridiculous in this day and age that this character is contacting her friends, and thinks she’s good enough to hide that it really her. I cant handle ignorant characters. Ugh!

Not for me

I’m in a book slump so maybe I’m not the best judge right now. The story was just flat. I wanted it to be more suspenseful and I was just left disappointed. The character development wasn’t great and why did they make the guys Seals? They showed no real training at all, and seem to be terrible horse trainers too.

The narrators did ok but I felt they were a little extra at times.
