Publisher's summary

A single dad, a model, and a comedian walk into a bar.... They’re all Owen Brodie.
It’s only funny if you aren’t the hilarious struggling comedian who has been hired to be his son’s nanny for the stand-up tour.

Dear Ms. Hogan,

I’m emailing to offer you the job as my son’s nanny because Sam had a temper tantrum when I told him I can’t hire you to come on my stand-up tour with us. “She heckled me at a club a few years ago,” I wanted to say. “She is the sassy little turd who trolls me on Twitter,” I could have told him. “She’s an even bigger pain in the butt when we’re face-to-face,” I thought to myself. What I would never tell him is - things could get complicated. For reasons.

Let me know if you want the job.

With great reluctance,
Owen

#AdorableHowObsessedYouAreWithMe

Dear Mr. Brodie,

Thank you for your email. Please inform Sam that I like him very much and would love to be his nanny and accompany him on your terrible joke of a stand-up tour.

I can assure you - things will not get complicated. For many, many reasons.

Primarily because Owen Brodie isn’t funny, and he can suck it.

Out of financial desperation and a fondness for your son,
Frankie

Laughter & Love

I loved this book! I normally don't like comedy, but took a chance. I haven't laughed so much in a long time. The story is beautifully written
with a popular comedian single dad and his son. Then he hires a nanny who is a struggling comedian and spark fly.
The narrators were perfect for this storyline.

Actually Funny!

There are so many romantic comedies out there that are not actually funny, but this one is. I really enjoy Loring's writing and humor. My only criticism would be that the main characters got together too quickly, but the book was still fun and enjoyable.

Perfection!

This one has it all. Story, humor and spice! My first audiobook by Kayley Loring, but certainly won’t be my last. It was hilarious while pulling at your heartstrings. The narration though, is what makes this book!!! Perfection. The casting could not have been better. I’m slightly obsessed and can’t wait to start book 2!!! If you’ve been sitting on the fence about this one just LISTEN!!! You won’t regret it!

Witty banter for the win.

Funny Business is my first Kayley Loring novel. Such a fun listen. The audiobook narrators were exceptional and their talents brought these lovable characters to life.

Hysterically charming!

Kayley Loring just knows how to write humor and romantic comedy so a love story about two stand-up comedians was bound to be a slice of perfection. Owen Brodie is a former model, single father, and successful stand-up comedian who hires the adorable, unemployed, and struggling stand-up comedian Frankie to come on tour with him as his son’s nanny. You can imagine the push and pull of this enemies-to-lovers, single dad-nanny forbidden romance and the hilarious banter that ensues between both Owen and Frankie and the entire Brodie clan. The group texts and the stand-up routines are pure comedy gold and will have you doing spit takes as you listen to this brilliant full cast audiobook. Emma Wilder and Teddy Hamilton do the heavy lifting and are phenomenal, but the addition of Connor Crais, Jason Clarke, Zachary Webber, and Mackenzie Cartwright puts this audiobook firmly in the 5+ star category. Do yourself a favor and buy/listen to this book ASAP! And then make sure you have read Kayley Loring’s full backlist to hear the stories of Shane Miller, Nico Todd, and Alex Vega who show up briefly in this book as well.

Comedy Gold yet again!

Well SH*T 🤣!!! This is no Funny Business, this is serious written snark and aural awesomeness yet again, with an amazingly talented multicast who give us multiple eargasms to enhance our listening pleasure 😉! I just floved the energy between them all and how they brought each character to life.

Kayley Loring´s writing is da bomb and she always puts a very loud, very laughing smile on my face and I am sure on everyone else´s that is reading/listening to her books. Owen and Frankie's story is just so much fun with all that sexy flirty hilarious tension, fart jokes, Owen´s cheese-loving son Sam (#cheesepoop – god, love him), Frankie´s amazeball wannabe comedian parents, the accents and the banter between the brothers are just a few of the highlights in this loveable smexy rib-tickling romcom with a lot of heart and all the one-liners we are used to from her.

Kayley chose an incredible audio cast and I do admire each and every one of them but especially Emma Wilder for turning her words and ideas (which I am sure was not an easy task at times) into this incredible performance, props to Emma on her singing and uke skills. She slays this one!

Teddy Hamilton, loving him more with each performance, his charm, cockiness and being all swoony as Owen gave me goosebumps. He didn't only make Frankie weak in the knees.

Mackenzie Cartwright, Connor Crais, Jason Clarke and Zachary Webber make this multicast performance perfection voicing known characters from the “Name in Lights” series and introducing us to new ones.

Not sure how more to praise Kayley´s talent but she is THE #LadyHilariousMcFunnyPants which this book & audio cast channels perfectly. Thanks lady, for continuously putting that smile on my and other readers/listeners faces. Your sense of humour is always turned into comedy gold and is definitely making this book world richer 😘
