A great and thorough intro to cultural practices.

Worthy. Simply worthy. Despite other disparaging remarks by other reviews, they do not fit, for this book NEVER toutes to be the end all be all of Celtic knowledge. An excellent work but definitely NOT a stopping place for any serious practitioner. All arts eventually become our own and a manifestation of our physical and spiritual natures. There is no one way but this is a mighty good one to start with.

Consume with caution!

Researching most of the authors claims left me in doubt of their work in total.

Rituals and theories claiming to be "Celtic Irish" have wiccan over and under tones, and the information on the deities within is misinformation at best and a complete disrespect at it's worst. The mythology seems to have been taken from and old and rough or bad translations of the books and sagas.

The tone that the author wrote in didn't help the narrator's tone of voice. It made it feel like someone was talking down to you about a subject that you could never have any understanding about.

I would save your money and buy a good book on Irish mythology, poems, and bardic stories you would gain a ton of useful knowledge compared to the hours of useless misinformation you will have to try to scrub from your memory after.
