Loving the Series

I started listening to Book 1 while waiting on another to release and I’m glad I did. I feel like the voice has been off a couple of times, throwing me off on who’s talking. But not enough to keep me from listening. The voices are good and the storyline is better. Headed on to the next one!

Wrong side

Link and Lily shouldn’t work. He is from the wrong side of the tracks if you will. Yet this rough and ready biker shows his gentle side. He pieces back together this damaged girl so she can stand tall. Teddy and Rose truly brought this amazing story to life.

Lily and Link

Narrators were awesome. Plot was engaging. But I do feel that the ending was rushed. Link and Lily story needed more closure. Then there was the introduction of the next 5 points book that sort of came out of nowhere.

Interesting characters and fantastic narration!

Interesting characters and a twisty underlying story make this book a 5 star read for me. Fantastic narration make it even better!

Not what I was expecting

This is NOT a dark and dirty romance. This book is somewhere around PG-13 if you like dark romance. This also didn’t feel like Link and Lillie’s story. It was just an MC story. The first book had narrative from supporting characters, but it was still mostly focused on the main characters. This one had input from a lot of people talking about things that had nothing to do with the main characters. Not only that, these little snippets popped up at random times and interrupted the main story. I haven’t listened to the next story yet, but it seemed like this book was written to set up the next book and maybe continue the last one. It just didn’t feel like its own story. The ending is very abrupt. Again, probably setting up the next book, but just know it just ends suddenly. Of course Teddy Hamilton was excellent as always. The female narrator was good voicing the female, but her male voice was not so great.
Overall, I did like Link and Lillie, and I also enjoyed the first book. I am planning to continue with this series hoping it goes in a direction more like the first one.

Liked it

Great story, but be sure to check the trigger warnings because there are some very dark themes.
It was a good performance, but I didn't love the male narrator's portrayal of Link's voice. I actually liked the female narrator's portrayal of his voice was better. He's described as having a deep and raspy voice, and instead it was higher and almost goofy.
Overall, great story and good performance. I just wish the male narrator would have done Link's voice differently.

Narrators really bring this story to life!

I read this series and decided to try it on audiobook. It absolutely amazes me that the story can be even better when you have the right narrators.

Both of them did a tremendous job and I love the story of Link and Lily so much. It’s a sweet story, taking on some difficult themes, and I love their “happily ever after” together.

Link and Lily

Goodness! This book was just as great as the first book. A definite on the edge of your seat, nail-biting, intensely dark journey to go on. I loved the fact that there are several POV's but the romance between Link and Lily felt so real, uninhibited and simply beautiful in a raw way. I cannot wait to see what happens next. Fantastic story!
