great book!
This book was great! Even though it is a children's "chapter" book, it's a fun book for adults too. The story is engaging and the characters have personality - and the narrator is amazing!! He really brings the story to life. He does great voices for the characters who need them and his "singing"... Too funny! I'm thinking that I'll wait for the sequel to be recorded rather than read the book - if the narrator is the same. WONDERFUL!!!

Great for young or old
If you love books about magic, discovery, and lands of enchantment, then this is the book for you. I listen to all of the same books my children hear/read, and I found this one fun, original, and throughly enjoyable.

I really enjoyed this book! It was funny listening to the narrator do all these voices. for some reason tho near the last 2 chapters I found it hard to finish. I think it was because it was kind of easy to see what might happen to finish of the first book. however tho, I was captured by the story! good job!

Great for all ages
Would you listen to Magyk again? Why?
this is my second time reading the series years apart, the book keeps you listening from all ages my mom and i read it and not i read it while i go running it keeps my mind completely preoccupied for my long runs of over 10 miles
