Publisher's summary

Through struggle and magic, determination triumphs.

Samazzar and his family have moved to the city of Vereton to continue his magic studies. There, he is introduced to a dizzying array of culture, technology, and magic. The caves he grew up in as a kobold fade into memory as Sam throws himself into his new life studying and adventuring under the mentorship of Wind Master Pothas.

Through hard work and careful study, Samazzar's knowledge of the mysteries advances at a breakneck pace, as he learns more about the world and the secrets that it holds. But underneath the glamor of city life, something ugly is brewing. Bigotry and corruption run rampant, and unseen forces conspire to overturn the comfort and happiness that Sam has struggled so hard to earn.

Join Samazzar on the next step in his quest for acceptance, knowledge, and growth, as he seeks to transform his body into the dragon he sees each and every time he gazes at his own reflection.

Book 2 of A Dream of Wings and Flame, a new LitRPG Series from best seller Cale Plamann. Sam must to throw off the shackles placed on his tiny, scaled body by fate, so that he can claim his birthright once and for all.

I'm not a critic

I just simply liked the books , hope there are many more to come. but maybe add more detail. I don't enjoy time skipping.

The Little Dragon Grows!!

Enough said! If you’ve liked the previous books you’ll enjoy this one too. It keeps the spirit and progresses the story in a meaningful way. Love a book with actual stakes.

I really enjoyed it

This book was a good listen. I believe if I had to classify it to a genre it would be progression fantasy. I can’t wait for the next book.

My new favorite series

By far my new favorite lit rpg series. Unique perspective with the MC being non human. Well done story and characters. Great narration as always with Neil.

Further pyromania.

I admit I’m biased considering my relationship with fireworks but I’m practically chopping at the bit for book three. The magic is more complicated than before, the fights are more action packed, the racism is done well (never thought I would ever say that), and the ending is positively tantalizing. Can’t wait for more pyromania.

Wonderful progression

The MCs progression does not overshadow the story and conflicts around him. I loved the friendships and conflicts due to bigotry, and I absolutely loved the ending. I wish the stats were at the end of the chapter rather than at the beginning, but that is an extremely minor complaint.

really great book

I really enjoyed the first one and I'm happy to say the second one continues with the same level of quality. certainly among the top echelon of lit RPG style books being written presently
