Publisher's summary

Have you lost your desire to set goals or to face life's challenges? Are you wondering how to stop procrastinating and become motivated to do more things? Do you feel paralyzed from anxiety, fear, depression, or the lack of motivation?

This book contains proven techniques and strategies on how to overcome the paralysis produced from having low self-esteem, a fear of failing, and anxiety.

There are so many things in life to be motivated about. If we have families, we must be motivated to work hard and provide for them. If we are single, we may be motivated to find a husband or wife. If we are young and just starting out in the working world, we may be motivated to become rich or successful in our careers. If we are buried in financial problems, we may be motivated to get out of debt.

Tips from the book on how to get motivated:

  • Work off of a list of things to do. There will be some tasks that are easy to strike off the list and others that recur for a long period. Some things, such as financial issues, may not be able to be dealt with right now, as you may lack the means to do so.
  • Make a decision to do something that you have been putting off for just 15 minutes. You will be amazed by what may happen! Generally, when I decide to dedicate 15 minutes of my time to do something I've been putting off, I get more enthusiastic about doing it.
  • What you wear can make a tremendous difference in how you feel. Give your self-esteem a boost by purchasing a few new clothes.

As you can see, the tips in this book on overcoming procrastination are straightforward and to the point. You won't have to sift through a pile of psychological jargon to get to the good stuff. NO! These are easy-to-understand tips on how to get motivated that will produce results.

Get the book now. You will be glad you did.

Content rich

The content was great! It is full of helpful tips. The audio doesn't add to the content though. It's almost robotic.

Short and to the Point! Fantastic!

Gosh, what a great little audiobook! Ashley Rosebloom presents a great set of tips and suggestions to help listeners get the lead out and get moving and JC Anonymous does a wonderful job delivering the content.

I can easily see myself listening to this at least once a week in the gym as a sort of reminder to stay on track to reaching my goals. My life is pretty hectic right now as I embark on the journey of self-employment and these tips will be a great help to keep me going. There are tons of great motivational texts out there and many of them are longer in duration, but I didn't find the short length of this book to be a problem at all. In fact, the list of tips was so vast and involved, I was actually glad that it had come to an end so I could ponder what I'd just listened to, then get back to my dvr. lol

So, don't be dismayed by the brief length. It's the perfect duration for those days when you just need a quick pick me up and you don't want to bother anyone else with your worried mind. Great job!

Great tips for all!

Where does How to Get Motivated and Stop Procrastinating: 51 Ways to Overcome Anxiety, Depression, Fear, and Lack of Motivation rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It is one of the top ones I have heard lately as far as self help books go. I thought it wasn't too complicated to understand.

Who was your favorite character and why?

There were no characters, as it is self-help.

Have you listened to any of JC Anonymous’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes, he is a solid narrator. I feel that his delivery works well with the genre.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Get up and do something!

Great to give your mind a kick start

Any additional comments?

I've a terrible tendency to procrastinate, so I've been looking for some audio books to get me motivated and found this did the job nicely. Some people have mentioned they didn't like the voice of the reader and that it was monotone. Personally I really liked his voice, I found it quite soothing! Sometimes these self-help audio books can just sound too over the top and positive and that gets on my nerves! I listened to this in bed and his voice was relaxing.

The points are put across simply, and there are some good suggestions. Not everyone will want to follow every tip, but I personally have picked up on a few that I'll be following through with.

Good points:

Easy to understand

The tips are simple to implement and use in your own life

Relaxing. Perfect to listen to as you go to sleep and wake up motivated for the day ahead.

Motivating. Just listening to it gives you the kick start you need to make some changes in your life however small.

Bad points:

It isn't very long. I'd like to see a longer version, perhaps divided into chapters revolving around different aspects of life.

Price. I chose this as my free book of the month. At full price I think it's slightly too expensive due to the length of the book. I'd snap it up if it was on special offer.
