A Must Read!
I was pleasantly surprised by the captivating storyline. It is a unique story that reminds me of a combination of both “It” and “The Apprentice”-perfect for middle school students looking for a horror story that is entertaining, unpredictable, and defies stereotypical characters. I highly recommend it.

Good Story
I decided to read the book with my daughter. It was a good book. I wonder if they would write a part 2 only to find out what happen to all the characters in the story.

Perfect YA Thriller
One of the beautiful things about this story is that it brings an unnerving perspective to such a childhood favorite - the game of hide and seek. I enjoyed it with my 7yo and 9yo, but I would have done so without them. it was that good!
"I went up the hill, the hill was muddy.
I stomped my toe and made it bloody. Should I wash it?" - my kiddos have been randomly blurting this out ever since. Daka did a phenomenal job on this debut! Can't wait for book two to release!

Scary and Uplifting all at the same time!!!
great book and so well read. Couldn't stop listening once I started. great for child readers who like strong characters and stories that keep you on the edge of your seat.

Cheesy
Definitely written for a middle schooler. The storyline is cheesy... Not much depth to it. The narrator was okay, but his transitions too the female voices sounded very off. I suppose if you like Goosebumps or Stranger Things, you might like this. As an adult...meh.
