Publisher's summary

Pretending to date isn't as easy as it sounds.

Belle Evans has won a cruise at just the right time. But when her ex-fiance shows up on the same ship with his new love, she can't let him think she's a loser. Good thing her cute neighbor in the suite next to hers was hanging around. When Tristan Stone inherits his grandmother's cruise line, he thinks it the perfect opportunity to be a regular guy - all while checking out his new business. A relationship wasn't even on the horizon until Belle Evans blurts out he's her boyfriend.

A girl afraid of getting her heart broken, a guy trying to keep his identity a secret, and nine days at sea.

No way at all this could backfire....

She wants a break. He wants to remain in disguise. When they're forced together, it's not long before lines blur.

Ridiculous

Totally ridiculous storyline. The female lead had to be the dumbest chic ever...who would spend their vacation with their cheating ex fiancee and their back stabbing "best friend".

Horrible Narration

Why oh why is it the same narrator for the whole series? I muscled through the first book but I can't do it for the whole series.

Not For Me

I thought the FC was stupid and more of a doormat than humanly possible. Both main characters were kinda sad. The ex's were cartoon villains. I skipped to the end around halfway because I couldn't listen to it anymore.

Loved it

It felt a little clichéd at times but the character building was great and I really appreciated the unique approach to creating the tension. It really stands out in this genre.
That said it was heartwarming and even gave me some life lesson takeaways.
It’s a great read.

Tiresome. Redundant. Irritating.

Had great potential. I don’t know what the author was trying to achieve, but it missed the mark. She should’ve told Laura to hit the road a long time ago. And grow a backbone for the love of everything. You can be forgiving and still let someone go. Set some boundaries girl!!!!

Ups and downs

Overall, it was a good lesson, the author knew how to irritate the living soul out of you. I swear I wanted to punch that girl in the face but that’s how you know it’s a good read.

Okay

It was clean in language. It kept repeating that “we’re just friends” but they were often kissing…. I had to laugh at that. Also…If you want a course on mean girls- this has a very “good” example of a mean girl.

Soooooo enjoyable

This really could’ve been a Christian romance novel. They are strong themes of learning forgiveness. They could’ve easily had a Christian tie to it. It was a great clean romance. The drama that you think is going to be a parent isn’t exactly how this plays out which I really enjoy. Bell is a fantastic main character. she grows a lot in the story.
