I have not but, this one was good
Jeff Justus read this like he was talking to a twenty something man, not a woman. It felt like what "Maxim" magazine would sound like on audio. Don't you want, strong, sexy, hot, and awesome hotness, lean, sexy, hotness? Well, I am going to tell you how to sexy up your work out... Something like that.
No. This book provides a fundamental concept of resistance training and proper diet and supplements. This is definitely very sound advice. The production just doesn't work for me.
There is nothing particularly new in this book but, it is sound advice. The book definitely sounds like it was written for a man though. Perhaps the narrator is simply trying to "sexy" it too much but, this definitely sounds like it was written for a man, not a woman
I'm upset that this book was supposed to focus on "The Ultimate Female Body", but uses examples of 250 pound men trying to maintain below 8% bodyfat. These examples don't give me what I thought I was listening to - a book focused on women. And these examples cannot translate to the female figure! False advertising -- he's just reusing chapters of his male-focused book in order to sell to a different demographic. It feels cheap.
He could have kept to the promise of a book about the Female Body and used exclusively female examples!
Classics, history, historical fiction, marketing, Napoleonic stuff and of course 'Boys own Adventure'. This is my bent. Occasional self help as well.
I mistakenly bought this book as I want to lean up a bit then I found out it was for girls. I wanted to return it but the system didn't let me. So I listened on and found out this can apply to girls and guys. Can get a little technical and worth listening to a few chapters over again. I think I need to see the figures, hearing them don't rattle around in my head so well. I am a convert but yet to put Michael Matthews suggestions into practice. Just getting all my ducks in a row before I start. Jeff Justus has the right motivational speaking voice for this type of book and Michael Matthews research stacks up, well the little facts I did check seem to lead me to the idea he has done his home work. Liked the book and now motivated to give it a go.
I would recommend this book to anyone whether you are Fit or looking to lose weight or to get fit. This book is very inspirational and detailed and what is the most important it is very realistic as it doesn't suggest any drastic or science fiction methods but makes you rethink about the way you live eat and exercise

what is the most important is that you can have a dialogue with an author. You can send him an email and he will respond to you much faster than you think. So it's not just the one way teaching book its a two way conversation that will lead you to the success you are looking for

Best fitness guide
This book has given me all the tools I need to be my own personal trainer. It is better than a personal trainer because it provides you with the knowledge to be able to design your own fitness and meal plans, and then update them without requiring guidance from someone else. So empowering to be able to do it on your own! Your friends will ask how you did it!!!! This book is the best fitness secret!
I loved this book so much that I also bought his other book "Muscle Myths". I listened to the book mostly in my car , and it motivated me while I was on my way to the gym. Great, and useful information! A must read for anyone looking to get lean and build muscle with a healthy and strategic plan.
Most of the points i thought would be missed having opted for the audiobook vs. the pdf. Weren't. It summarizes the basics of a sound fat loss program without the dream promises of epic fast results, but a rather long term commitment that would lead to life long progress.
I especially loved the water weight part since the description fit what i went through to the t. I knew all along that weight lifting wont make me as a female bulky but always wondered why wasn't i shredded like fitspos i followed on instagram, but rather felt like i "expanded". Long story short mike explains that fat is the key here. I'm thankful that I know what I know now and am looking forward to the application.
I'm still on my first week so the practical side of it is still to be seen. Will update this review hopefully in a month or so.
I absolutely love this book! It gets straight to the point and sticks to the basics and core when it comes to fitness and health. There's so much conflicting information out there so I appreciate how this book sticks to scientific facts and research and really breaks everything down simply making it easy to understand. You'll gain so much knowledge from reading this book that you'll feel so powerful and totally confident in your fitness journey!
Probably best to not get it as audio as I could have done with some of the information written down for me and to keep having to rewind the audio is more than annoying. Also the guy who narrates it can't always say his 'W's properly and pronounces it like the way Stewie says 'coolwhip' in Family Guy. But overall great book!
"You have to read this!"
It s the best information i could have on fitness. It covers food, workout, supplemets etc. I strongly recommend it to everyone.
So good I had to buy a hard copy because it's full of AMAZING information you want to keep referring back to, so just making clips doesn't help, you need to:
Listen to it to absorb everything
Then buy the hard copy and highlight all the parts u will to refer back to in your fitness journey.
