If you want to be muscular, lean, and strong as quickly as possible without steroids, good genetics, or wasting ridiculous amounts of time in the gym and money on supplements...then you want to read this book.
Here's the deal:
Getting into awesome shape isn't nearly as complicated as the fitness industry wants you to believe.
You don't need to spend hundreds of dollars per month on the worthless supplements that steroid freaks shill in advertisements.
You don't need to constantly change up your exercise routines to "confuse" your muscles. I'm pretty sure muscles lack cognitive abilities, but this approach is a good way to just confuse you instead.
You don't need to burn through buckets of protein powder every month, stuffing down enough protein each day to feed a third world village.
You don't need to toil away in the gym for a couple of hours per day, doing tons of sets, supersets, drop sets, giant sets, etc. (As a matter of fact, this is a great way to stunt gains and get nowhere.)
You don't need to grind out hours and hours of boring cardio to shed ugly belly fat and love handles and get a shredded six-pack. (How many flabby treadmillers have you come across over the years?)
You don't need to completely abstain from "cheat" foods while getting down to single-digit body fat percentages. If you plan cheat meals correctly, you can actually speed your metabolism up and accelerate fat loss.
In this book you're going to learn something most guys will never know: The exact formula of exercise and eating that makes putting on 10 to 15 pounds of quality lean mass a breeze...and it only takes 8-12 weeks.
This book reveals secrets like...
The 6 biggest myths & mistakes of building muscle that stunt 99% of guys' muscle gains. (These BS lies are pushed by all the big magazines and even by many trainers.)
How to get a lean, cut physique that you love (and that girls drool over) by spending no more than 5 percent of your time each day.
The 4 laws of muscle growth that, when applied, turn your body into an anabolic, muscle-building machine. You'll be shocked at how easy it really is to get big once you know what you're doing...
How to develop a lightning-fast metabolism that burns up fat quickly and leaves you feeling full of energy all day long.
The carefully-selected exercises that deliver MAXIMUM results for your efforts, helping you build a big, full chest, a wide, tapered back, and bulging biceps.
A no-BS guide to supplements that will save you hundreds if not THOUSANDS of dollars each year that you would've wasted on bunk science and marketing hype.
How to get shredded while still indulging in the "cheat" foods that you love every week like pasta, pizza, and ice cream.
And a whole lot more!
Imagine, just 12 weeks from now, being constantly complimented on how you look and asked what the heck you're doing to make such startling gains. Imagine enjoying the added benefits of high energy levels, no aches and pains, better spirits, and knowing that you're getting healthier every day.
The bottom line is you CAN achieve that "Hollywood hunk" body without having your life revolve around it--no long hours in the gym, no starving yourself, no grueling cardio that turns your stomach.

The information provided in the book is based on real scientific findings. I have already started following the suggestions explained in the books, and believe or not, I am already getting nice results after only 3 weeks!
So far, I didn't really found any book like it. This book has everything you need to know about nutrition and training, explained in a very simple way.
I liked the way in which the reader talks. For example, the enphasis used when he reads makes everything even more convincing!
Not at all! I looked forward for the next page! In every page there is useful information you can use for your goals.
This book lays out the fundamentals of building your body correctly. There is so much crap out there and Michael Matthews is straight forward and to the point and cuts through all the "Bro Science" out there. Matthews also debunks crazy diets, such as low carb. He backs his method with facts from studies and his experiences. This is not a diet book, it is about working hard and eating right and seeing results. I have listen to it twice, it is an easy listen and not too long.
It is simple to understand his plan and follow it.
Justus is easy to listen to, he is clear and funny at times when it calls for it.
Bigger, Leaner, Stronger: The truth about building the body you want
Michael Matthews also is very active on twitter, his website and email. He offers support and information to clarify questions about the book. He freely offers great information through Twitter and his blog posts.
I've already listened to it twice. there is a lot of info packed into this short book.
Michael Matthews does a great job cutting through all the workout BS and getting down to the basics of lifting. As a beginner I found it a perfect resource. It could easily be titled, "Lifting 101." After reading this book you will have the knowledge you need to confidently pursue your fitness goals. I also have to mention that I emailed the author a question and he got back to me the same day. How many fitness experts will do that?
This was a breath of fresh air to read. Mike clarifies a lot information for us especially with regards to the supplement industry and food nutrition both of which can be daunting when starting out. I would highly recommend this book, if you were to have only one book on fitness this is the one. Cheers,
Compound movements are king for overall training success!
Good voice, tempo.
It was refreshing to read a book that takes us back to the basics of training. In a world full of exercise clutter the principles and methods was refreshing.
Over the last 10 years, I've read many books on exercise and nutrition and this is by far my favorite. It cuts through all the hype and just gives you the facts on how to get in fantastic shape. It is easy to listen to and understand as an audio book. The content is supported by the latest science and cuts through all the fad ideas that are floating around out there. It provides a perfect exercise and dieting framework to get you in fantastic shape. There are no gimmicks or false promises in this book; it sticks to what has truly worked for all the people that are in awesome shape without the use of steroids.
It takes a lot of hard work to get in great shape and there is just no way around that, but the road is MUCH easier if you are being as effective as possible with your workouts, diet, and supplementation. You can't go wrong with this book if you follow it to the letter.
If you want a no BS fitness book, this is the one you have been looking for. Mike Matthews breaks everything down into simple form, and makes everything easy to understand. Whether you are a novice or an expert, I think you will take something from this book.
You need to check out this book If you value your time as much as I do, and don't want to waste countless hours over-training for little gain.
Not only is this book very simple to follow, but it's incredibly honest. The fitness industry is filled with people/companies trying to shove unnecessary products/services down our throats, and this book doesn't do ANY of that.
Moreover, Mike even goes above and beyond to point out things that we might have THOUGHT were legitimate, and are complete fallacies. If you're looking for a great fitness book, look no further.
Love to listen audio-books
Just to begin with, I really like this book. Once I got it on kindle I Kept reading this everyday and now, I can take it to my gym and listen to it, while getting motivated wit the information!!!
Mike thanks a lot for this and congratulations for this great Book
"Too much information to reference for an audiobook"
Not sure I would.
There is too much complex information to effectively reference in an audio book. This is not a comment or judgement on the content just that you need a kindle or paper version to get the most out of the content.
try something else or get it in text format.
"Basically, a good motivational book. But..."
Inconsistent in places. And very macho, but hey, that's the genre. I'm glad I heard it but didn't like the style.
