Publisher's summary

Three possessive wolf-shifters. A wounded woman finding her strength. A world of dangerous fae determined to exploit her unexpected powers.

For years, the monsters who killed my family have held me in a cage. Brutalized and half-starved. Only kept alive so they can steal my blood.

Until one evening, when three eerily gorgeous men rescue me.

They offer a safe haven under their protection with everything I need to heal. I'm not used to this kindness—or the desires their smoldering eyes and strong hands stir in my body and my heart.

But these fearsome men aren't really men. Like my former captors, they're fae who can shift into wolves. A curse gripping the faerie realm turns them wild under the full moon.

Only the strange power coursing through my veins can cure their rage.

I'm a prize as much as a person to them. But I've survived this long without giving up. And as I recover my strength, I'm winning their hearts as well.

Can this damaged human hold her own among the savage fae?

Bound to the Fae is a fantasy romance series featuring possessive shifters, dangerous fae politics, and a wounded heroine coming into her own. This audiobook set contains the first three books in the series: Captive of Wolves, Feral Blood, and Kings of Moonlight.

Talia Gains Her Freedom

This is a must-read series of nine books, which has now been made into three box sets, the story follows Talia, a human who was taken and caged. I read each book when it was first published and have loved them all.

1 Captive of Wolves
The storyline is very dark in places especially at the start of the book when we first meet Talia. She's a human who was captured by a group of fae/wolves led by Eric when she was about 12 years old. She's been kept caged, subjected to many cruelties her foot was broken and left to heal in a malformed way meaning that even if the cage were large enough to walk in, which it's not, she would have difficulty walking. She is almost staved and apart from having the poorest of meals thrust through the bars of her cage the only contact she has had with anyone is when once a month her captors pin her down and take some of her blood.

After eight years, by her estimation, and after just being bled by Eric and his cadre, she is rescued by four other fae led by Silas. They have broken into Eric's domain to try and find the cure for a curse which forces them to turn into vicious, uncontrollable wolves whenever the moon is full which it will be later that night. This cure has been sold to certain privileged packs by Eric for years but for some reason not to Silas's pack. They take her to their home where she learns that her blood is special and where for the first time in years she receives kindness and caring but make no mistake she is still a captive.

Silas the lord, his two half brothers, Whit and August and the fourth fae/wolf now have a month to try and find out why her blood is their cure and decide what to do with her. During her stay feelings develop between her and two of the males but will these feelings be her salvation?

The story flows well, and has some steamy scenes that were well done. Talia is a wonderful character and it was great to see the way her strength and resilience came to the fore. She has missed so much of what a girl/woman would experience, and for her, nothing can ever be normal again.

2 Feral Blood
Talia's romantic relationships continue to deepen with Sylas, August and Whitt, but they can't take their happiness or Talia's safety for granted there's no shortage of people who would like nothing more than to tear them apart and gain Talia for themselves. Talia was never weak though, not e en when she was caged her spirit remained unbowed, she almost escaped with only her wits and the tiny bit of magic she was able to learn but her time with Silas's pack has only made her stronger, her powers are growing all the time.

3 Kings of Moonlight
Sylas' pack have now had their banishment lifted, and they are able to move back to their former home in Hearthshire but her freedom is still under threat and Ambrose, the arch-lord will do anything to get Talia under his control. Then to make matters worse they find out he plans to start a war with the Unseelie forcing Talia and her guys Sylas, Whitt, and August to try and stop him but can they do that without getting the pack banished? Talia loves her mates but knows her time as the Lady of Hearthshire could be coming to an end. This book like the earlier ones leaves the listener wanting more.

The narration of this Box Set is by Savannah Peachwood and Ryan West who do an excellent job with all the characters, they bring each one to life.

I was given this audiobook as a gift and am voluntarily writing my review.

binge

book 1: after being held captive for over 8 years Talia learns that not all fae wolf shifters are the same as her new "captors" are completely different.
book 2: you can't help rooting for Talia and the guys, that everything will work out. What I cliff hanger, I want the next book as soon as possible.
book 3: just wow

healing and growth

This story is a girl who has been majorly traumatized. as someone who shares some of that, I actually enjoyed this book a lot. It shows a woman despite how awful she has been treated, still retaining goodness in her heart and learning to overcome her trauma to help men that she cares deeply for and them in return doing the same. It's got steamy scenes, but honestly, I enjoyed the story far more. It shows that despite what a person goes through, they can still have goodness inside and not be full of bitterness. I think that's an important thing. Many people seem to forget to be the truth. sure, it happens faster than likely, BUT it is a book, and it needs to hold a reader's interest, so it must move faster than reality would likely do so.

New Series to be a Favorite

Smut was slow in the beginning but the story line keeps you constantly excited to hear what's next. By book 2, the smut started getting good. Book 3 is hot but has a mild quantity. The story really hits stride with a complex story so even though I would have liked more spice - I still loved it.

Unsure at first…

But…. Now so have hit the book 3 cliffhanger, I need to get the rest of the series. Love how the FL has a never give up attitude and is not willing to just let others save her. She does all she can to save herself

Could be shorter.

Almost the same story in all 3 books. The poor little human and her 3 devoted men. I guess these were not for me.
