Publisher's summary

My name is Nora Black. I'm over 50 and enjoying my life to the fullest. That is, when I'm not worried about graying hair, low back pain, allergies, and a psychic gift that sometimes stinks.

After solving a murder with the help of my new scent-induced psychic ability, I'm thrilled to report that everything is finally getting back to normal. Better than normal, actually. My BFFs work with me at my Scents & Scentsability shop, I'm dating a young, hot detective, and the upcoming Memorial Day weekend promises to bring in lots of tourists to Garden Cove.

There's not a thing in this world that could spoil my great mood....

Nothing except a suspicious death. When police officer Reese McKay asks me to use my aroma-mojo to look into the "accidental drowning" of her black-sheep cousin, I can't turn her away. Especially now that she's become a friend.

With help from my besties Gilly and Pippa, along with an unofficial assist from Detective Hot Stuff, I'm determined to crack the case of the drowned girl and sniff out the killer before he or she can strike again.

For Whom the smell tolls

this is the second in this series and I enjoyed it as much as the first. I absolutely love the irreverence and straightforwardness of what it's like to be middle-aged a dating a younger man. it's also special to see the group of friends standing together no matter what. when it comes to the mystery piece of this book I think they did a much better job with the misdirection as to who was the true culprit. the book was thoroughly enjoyable.

I Love Nora Black!

I just can't say enough about Nora Black! I love her. I love her friends. I love her boyfriend! Thank you Renee George for such an awesome non 20 or even 30 year old character that still lives life!!!!❤❤❤ Margaret Strom does an amazing job narrating. I could relate to so many situations in this book. I've read all of these so far, but getting to enjoy again with audible is such a treat! Thank you!!!❤❤❤

Overall good

Second book, story ok, but not sure I can listen to another, I like all the characters and enjoy the story but Nora’s constant complaints of body aches and pains is ‘getting old’ - she’s only 51 but acts like she’s 75, it’s really too bad because she’s in the prime of life and should be in better shape at her age. I may give book 3 a try but think I’ll take a break in between.

ABSOLUTELY GREAT READ

I AM THOROUGHLY ENJOYING THIS SERIES, AND THIS BOOK WAS NO EXCEPTION. THE CHARACTERS ARE GENUINE, LIKEABLE, AND FUN, WITHOUT BEING SILLY OR JUVENILE. I HAVE THE NEXT BOOK WAITING IN MY AUDIBLE LIBRARY AND WILL BE WATCHING FOR MORE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

52 is NOT old.

I really like the story. I really do. But the fact that she keeps talking about how her knees hurt, and her back hurts and all of This other bullshit is pretty stupid. I am 54 years old and I don’t have any of those problems. That’s not old. 75. 85. Yeah, that’s old and totally understandable that you would have some problems. But there are a lot of people even in those age ranges who are spry and can do anything they wanna do. I feel like her constant whining about her stupid knees and her stupid back detracted from the story. Her constant paranoia about being 52 is ridiculous.

nope

I got to the 2nd book but can't go any further. the narrator almost sounds like she's slurring her words. I can't get past the age difference between the characters either. then the double standard at the end just irrated too much. I'm done with the rest of the series.
