The opportunity to tour Israel came at a good time. For months, my life has been a mindless plodding through necessary routine, as monotonous as an all-night shift on an assembly line. Experience life in 1930's Acorn, Kentucky
As usual, Lynn Austin brings her characters to life with completely believable characters, especially the first-person bookworm protagonist in this story. Historical enthusiasts will love the details of life in extremely rural Kentucky and Kate Forbes, again providing a richly-textured performance of the female characters especially, will evoke powerful images of special ladies we have known and honored. Thanks to all involved in this production!!

Amazing!
Probably one of the best, most captivating books I have read in a while. I️ loved the twists and turns and mysteries. The life lessons Alice learned were impacting. Even in a fun story such as this, God used it to bring a great message to my heart. I️ recommend it highly!!

A story that captivates the whole family
Listened to this with our family of 5 on a road trip. We have 3 children, 2 girls (21 & 14) and a son (19). Everyone enjoyed the story. It had adventure, mystery, danger, romance and even a treasure hunt. Plus so much more....
