The Pritchard family is quite content in their home on Deerfield Avenue...until Lorelle Dupree moves in across the street. The new neighbor is astonishingly beautiful...friendly...and seductive. Each member of the Pritchard family surrenders to her advances and Lorelle's influence changes them in shocking ways. Soon everyone on Deerfield is changing. And then the killings start. The new neighbor is not interested in borrowing a cup of sugar or using your weed-whacker. She's more interested in your soul.
In Ray Garton's legendary erotic horror novel The New Neighbor, sex isn't just for pleasure anymore. The New Neighbor was originally published in 1991 as a limited 500-copy run (with extreme artwork by J. K. Potter) by Charnel House, and was re-released by Cemetery Dance in 2003 in a limited 1000-copy reissue.

I am an avid reader and listener of horror and thrillers with the occasional SciFi and crime noir. I review on Amazon, GR, NG & Audible.
My neighbor is a greasy, loud, obnoxious slob. I’m not saying I would rather have a beautiful, evil, soul sucking succubus living next door, but Ray Garton at least makes a solid case for it - if it weren’t for the mass murder and going straight to hell part…
Ok. I lied. My neighbors are all actually very nice and not slobby, nor particularly, greezy. Can’t really have a super sexy succubus running amok, screwing and killing everybody in the neighborhood anyway, it’s just not good for property values.
This one is pure Garton - A quick moving, dark tale of suburban horror with plenty of sex, dolloped with ample amounts of violence and blood.
This book is for anyone who, like the author, hates people who are over weight and finds it perfectly alright to insult them. You can describe an over weight person without using the words "flabby, sickening, jiggling fat rolls" etc.
Keep his personal feelings about over weight people to himself.
Nope, I have not, nor will I listen to another.
It had none. It was written as if by a pre-teen. The story would have been better if it was written by an adult.
Authors like this are disgusting. I love horror books and "out of the box" kind of stories, however I draw the line at authors who put their disgusting prejudices in their stories, be it racism, sexism, age-ism or size-ism.
"Another great Garton story"
This is the second audiobook I have listened to by Ray Garton & like 'Live Girls' it is a very well told story, Lorelle Dupree is the main character in a tale of hate, lust & revenge in a way that only Garton can tell it. If you are offended by sexual content this book is not for you but if you enjoy your horror with an erotic twist then I would recommend this classic story.
Ginger Beechwood does an excellent job with the narration as she uses her voice well in the action parts of the story & very sexually on the racier parts.
