An Early Klavan Spellbinder
The story will keep you on edge, but the almost casual narration sometimes gets in the way, as words are sometimes not fully pronounced. I have to concede this to the narrator: his repeated cries as a kidnapped and terrified little girl get so on your nerves that you can understand how she managed to drive her kidnapper mad with rage.

Not my favorite narrator
I’ve enjoyed all Andre Klavan’s book up to now.
I just started listening so this is 3 or 4
I may have liked it better if I actually read it myself.
I found the narrator’s voice especially annoying when he spoke as a woman or a child.

A fun ride
I wasn’t sure what to expect especially after the first chapter but it was a fun ride and the story flowed well. I enjoyed listening and will find more from Klavan.

Thriller!
Having discovered Klavan’s podcast in 2022, I searched back to find some of his earlier novels and chose this one. The writing is riveting and I must add that the performance of the narrator absolutely brought this text to life. Excellent performance!

Misogynistic crap
Most of this story was pointless garbage. Using sexuality in disgusting and unnecessary ways. I don't know how this author could even put some of this filth on a page. Get some help and f×#k this book!
