Liked books 2 & 3 in the series much more

I read book two in the series first and absolutely loved it. Yes T A Warren did drag the story in parts and repeats sentiments and feeling but overall I enjoyed the book. I then purchased book 3 and liked that one as well. Since this book appeared on sale for 4.99, I decided to give it a shot. Nothing much happened the first almost half of the story and as I was about to give up on the book, it finally became interesting. At the end, the only 5 stars I would give this book will have to go to Bianca Amato. Her performance was WONDERFUL.

Totally Predictable

Would you try another book from Tracy Anne Warren and/or Bianca Amato?
I thought the book was extremely cliche. It became boring because you knew how the book would end.

If you’ve listened to books by Tracy Anne Warren before, how does this one compare?
I've never listened to any books narrated by Tracy Anne Warren and I don't think I want to repeat the experience. Her voice was very monotone. She used the same voice for all the males and the same voice for all the females. It really wasn't convincing at all.

What three words best describe Bianca Amato’s voice?
flat, unimaginative and boring.

What would have made this romance irresistible?
Some twists and turns would have set it apart and made it not so predictable. Maybe some mystery and some humor... anything to set it apart! I had a hard time getting through it.

Twin performance

If you could sum up The Husband Trap in three words, what would they be?

A wonderful adventure!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Husband Trap?

The whole book was memorable. Ms. Warren did a nice job giving just enough details to put you in the time period.

What about Bianca Amato’s performance did you like?

I love all Ms. Amato's narrations and she was the reason I purchased this audio book in the first place. Wonderful selection!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The ending...but I can't tell.

Any additional comments?

Give it a try, it is fun and light.

CUTE...BUT MUCH TOO PREDICTABLE.

Would you recommend The Husband Trap to your friends? Why or why not?

I wouldn't tell a person NOT to buy this audiobook. In truth I did find it quite satisfactory. It was an easy audiobook to listen to, having romance, no real antagonist and presenting an uncomplicated plot with basically 'good' characters whose only conflicts are the ones they create themselves. I listened to this book while doing chores around the house and I found it to be good company as I worked.

Any additional comments?

The author bases her story around twins who are identical in appearance but complete opposites otherwise. A turn of events puts the wrong sister in the right place...and so the story unfolds, progressing as one might suspect with little to no surprises.

Average Hot Historical Romance -Easy Listen

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Yes, there is nothing complicated about this book. There was no 'drama' until nearly half way through-and again nothing complex. A saucy, predictable, easy listen - candy for the ears.

In The Husband Trap, the reserved Lady Violet Brantford agrees to swap identities with her vivacious sister. Before she knows it, she’s married to the Duke of Raeburn, who finds himself pleasantly surprised with his charming new wife.

Any additional comments?

There are a lot of deeper (more interesting) historical listens out there.

This is a nice listen but not complicated - enough detail to keep my interest

I will not continue unless I can get the follow ups for less than $5.

Terrific twins tale!

Loved this original tale of twin sisters who change places on the day of one sister’s wedding- a wedding she’s decided she doesn’t want. The sister taking her place at the altar, Violet , is marrying a duke, Adrian. But will he know the difference between the two? How long can Violet keep up the ruse?
The story has interesting characters, plot twists, and some real heat snd of course a requisite HEA. I listened to the audiobook and thoroughly enjoyed the narration- it was very good.

Enjoyed It

Would you listen to The Husband Trap again? Why?

I enjoyed it and I love it when true love wins. One twin loves and would never hurt anyone while the other only thinks about what she wants. It is like like people judge and put you into a box by description, but to see love win out and for a person to find their inner strength and their own way is always a good read.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Husband Trap?

Whe Violet stood up to her twin and her husband proved he loved her for her and could sense some thing wasnt right during the party.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Adrian told every one the truth and when he found her at their honymoon spot. Also when the servant stood up to Adrian and told him he was waiting to see how long it would take him to realize his wife was gone.

Who was the most memorable character of The Husband Trap and why?

Violet was the opposite of her sister and she finally stood up for the love she wanted and had

Any additional comments?

I love the way they characterized and had the dog notice the things going on.

An Incredible Romance

Would you listen to The Husband Trap again? Why?

Definitely

Who was your favorite character and why?

Violet, of course

What does Bianca Amato bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I loved the accent. I felt like I was truly in the time period.

Who was the most memorable character of The Husband Trap and why?

Violet. Her shyness, her fear, even her dislike of herself is something we all can relate to. To see her overcome her fears and persevere was highly enjoyable.

Any additional comments?

I couldn't put this one down. And though I find it hard to believe that a woman can remain that sexually innocent, I still bought it. The story is well written and very engaging.
