It had potential... Little is all we are getting.

Ok so...the action in the book started right away, just like his last book that i listened to. It was interesting, so i was hooked at first, then it seemed like everything spooky kinda happened all at once. In the end I was left disappointed (just like the last book) because the story builds and builds centering around "the entity", but is cut short like the story just stops bc he ran out of ideas. I wish there had been a more solid ending because the storyline started out so well. I really tried to like this one, but the vague ending took that away.

Eh it was alright

I liked the overall story line But I did not like that it took so long to get interesting. I understand some build up needs to happen but how much useless info can you put into random pages? I liked the details Bentley Little would write about with the violence and the emotions of the characters. I wish he would of put more of those into the story then useless filler pages that took up the first half of the book. 3/5 not horrible, not great either. Eh.

This was a fast paced relentless haunting. The main characters were well thought out and the ending was tragic.

The Narrator was awesome!

Like the book too! Pretty spooky. But the narrator… will be looking for more books read by him!

Worth the read

The ending wasn’t as great as it could’ve been but overall a pretty good book. It definitely keeps your interest throughout.

Had a great ending and a great story but there were random violent sex scenes that I think could have been left out!

If you like a good mystery, this is your book! My only let down was at the end. With the twists and turns in the book and with all the characters involved, the ending was just a little flat for me, but for you, just listen and see!

Loved it!!!

I absolutely loved this book. Couldn’t put it down. Bentley Little captured me and didn’t let go with this one. Dan Butler did a fantastic job on the reading. I think this is the first time a horror novel was actually a little reminiscent of a Hallmark movie at the very end. 💕💕💕💕

A haunted house tale is not usually my thing...

... but I decided a different genre was due. I chose this one from Audible’s Plus Catalogue. Author Bentley Little pens a chilling tale of a happy family with a tragic past as they move into their new home. Strange happenings in the house, unfriendly, odd neighbors are prevalent. During a party and after some local research, we find out why. Fine narration by Dan Butler recalls a “real life” haunting. Would I choose another again? Most likely. It certainly did not scare me into the night. This was a straightforward tale of a real family who dealt with its supernatural surroundings; it was eerie and unnerving, though at times, unbelievable and far-fetched. I was disappointed at the ending and will say no more. I am happy it was free.
