Gripping!!!

The performance of these two iconic Men of the theater. Bring one of my most favorite collection of poetry to life. I could not stop listening to Vincent Price reading the Raven. It was absolutely wonderfully read. It was hard to figure out what poems were being read cause they did not say the title of each poem. So a table of contents would have helped. But in all I was more then satisfied with how Thrilling it was to hear this.

Best Poe Audiobook

I listen to this every year as October approaches. It is by far the best audiobook available of Edgar Allen Poe’s works. It is very well done.

Fantastic narration!! semi annoying format.

I love the narration Vincent Price and Basil Rathbone are amazing and do such a good job performing the stories. The only thing annoying is the format. There’s no separation of the stories. I had to look in the reviews for the order and time stamp.

Poe doesn't do it for me

Not even Vincent Price could change my mind. While I do enjoy some of his stories and poems; overall, I am not a fan of Poe's work.

What can one say..

First, the stories are by Edgar Allen Poe so DEF NO COMPLAINTS HERE!! Then second, just take a look-see at the narrators..the legendary Mr. Vincent Price and Mr. Basil Rathbone! You just can't get any better than that!! I LOVE it!!

who doesn't like Edgar Allen Poe. ....

Especially when read by the fantabulous Vincent Price and Borris Karloff. if all narraters put as much heart, soul and emotion into their reading of books, it would make every audio book sooooooo much better. :-D

Hard to tell what stories in which chapters, but still fabulous voices/ performances. Very atmospheric.

Was only missing one thing

It would have been nice if each story had its own chapter. Other than that, it was perfect.
