Publisher's summary

After a terrible car accident destroys her life as she knew it, 20-year-old Kacey escapes to Florida, where she encounters an irresistible man determined to capture her wounded heart.

Just breathe, Kacey. Ten tiny breaths. Seize them. Feel them. Love them.

Four years ago Kacey Cleary's life imploded when her car was hit by a drunk driver, killing her parents, boyfriend, and best friend. Still haunted by memories of being trapped inside, holding her boyfriend's lifeless hand and listening to her mother take her last breath, Kacey wants to leave her past behind. Armed with two bus tickets, Kacey and her 15-year-old sister, Livie, escape Grand Rapids, Michigan, to start over in Miami. They're struggling to make ends meet at first, but Kacey's not worried. She can handle anything - anything but her mysterious neighbor in apartment 1D.

Trent Emerson has smoldering blue eyes, deep dimples, and perfectly skates that irresistible line between nice guy and bad boy. Hardened by her tragic past, Kacey is determined to keep everyone at a distance, but their mutual attraction is undeniable and Trent is determined to find a way into Kacey's guarded heart - even if it means revealing an explosive secret that could shatter both of their worlds.

Emotional Rollercoaster!

Would you listen to Ten Tiny Breaths again? Why?

Yes I would. This story was beautiful and tragic, but uplifting by the time you get to the end. I really enjoyed all the characters and can't wait to see them pop up in other books by K.A. Tucker!

What did you like best about this story?

I loved the transformation of Kacey throughout the story!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The end, it was perfect! I also loved the part when the truth was revealed, but I won't disclose any details!

Great narration!!!

If you could sum up Ten Tiny Breaths in three words, what would they be?

Forgiveness
Second chance
Funny

What did you like best about this story?

The memory the heroin had from her mother to "take ten tiny breaths".... it made sense to me as we all carry good and or bad memories from mothers and they stick to us....no matter what....and one day they make sense.

Have you listened to any of Elizabeth Louise’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Always good!!!!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Almost did!

Just Breathe.. Survive, Life is Worth Living!

This story is heart breaking and real. I have to concede the kind of tragedy presented in this story is bred from one of those top five fears, it makes you think “if this were me….” Elizabeth Louise performance puts you right into Kacey’s head. You get the emotions the author is presenting, and you understand them. I personally wasn't moved to cry, but I did connect with the wounded heart. The supporting characters were well developed and awesome. Thumbs up K.A. Tucker! The Publisher’s Summary is enough describe the story without completely giving it away, though seriously I don’t think it takes a rocket scientist to guess the “explosive secret”. It’s a quick listen, I started and finished it within the same day. The price was under my $13 dollar credit use limit, so I purchased out right, and I do not regret it.

MUST HAVE TISSUES........

What did you love best about Ten Tiny Breaths?

I love to make you think about life and what we take for granted. Before you can ask for forgiveness we have to forgive our selves.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Ten Tiny Breaths?

when the parents of Trent show up and they revell who he really is and what he has been doing behind the scene to watch over C

Not as good as the sequel

One Tiny Lie is better, while this one is a bit more of a stretch to believe. But it was still a really good listen.

Emotional story dealing with PTSD

I loved this story and all of the characters. I kind of knew where it was heading for a while, but It did surprise me in the end. It is definitely hard, emotional and real struggle with PTSD,. I had a smile on my face at the end, BUT I definitely wanted to know more and was NOT ready for it to end...

INCREDIBLE! ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!

I had this book in my wish list for the longest time. I just kept thinking it was way too deep for me from what I read in others reviews. Maybe even a little too sappy. I didn't want to read something that would just depress me and this seemed to be way too depressing. I was totally wrong, granted it has many sad and very deep parts to it, but the author found the perfect mix of laughter and tears. This was an incredible story I am so glad I finally listened. More than worth the credit!

Takes a long time to get into this story

I read "In Her Wake" which is a must before reading this one. That was pretty good and I figured this would be also. It took me so long to get into this story. It was a see saw back and forth with Kasey and Trent getting together. I love you but we can't,, ok now, ok no not now. Well maybe. Geez!! I kept listening and the last third of the book was so much better. Took long enough. I gave this 4 stars because the narration was fantastic. That really saved the book.
