Publisher's summary

Get ready for another binge-worthy romance from New York Times best-selling author Elle Kennedy!

College was supposed to be my chance to get over my ugly-duckling complex and spread my wings. Instead, I wound up in a sorority full of mean girls. I already have a hard time fitting in, so when my Kappa Chi sisters issue the challenge, I can’t say no.

The dare: Seduce the hottest new hockey player in the junior class.

Conor Edwards is a regular at Greek Row parties...and in Greek Row sorority beds. He’s the one you fall for before you learn that guys like him don’t give girls like me a second glance. Except Mr. Popular throws me for a loop - rather than laughing in my face, he does me a solid by letting me take him upstairs to pretend we’re getting busy.

Even crazier, now he wants to keep pretending. Turns out Conor loves games, and he thinks it’s fun to pull the wool over my frenemies’ eyes.

But resisting his easy charm and surfer-boy hotness is darn near impossible. Though I’m realizing there’s much more to Conor’s story than his fan club can see.

And the longer this silly ruse goes on, the greater the danger of it all blowing up in my face.

I love this book!!!

I relate to this book so much! I am a bigger girl and a teacher and I feel like this book was made specifically for me! I love Conor and Taylor’s love story! I love that they are figuring their life out while being together! So good! Also Teddy Hamilton’s narration and voice is so freaking sexy!!!

One of my favorite Briar books!

I have enjoyed all 8 of the books about Briar U but this was one of my favorites. I think I really enjoyed it because I felt similar to Taylor for part of my life. I have to say the only downside of this book was the female narrator. She wasn’t bad but she wasn’t my favorite. I felt like her voice would be better suited to someone in their 30s + up!

I love Elle Kennedy and the Off-Campus series. When she came out with Briar U, I jumped on board with this new series. She just knocks sports romances out of the park. You can read this as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the previous books as it will give you some insight into several of the other characters.
I am not sure if this is the last one in this series, but I just cannot get enough.

This one was not my favorite though. This is mainly due to Taylor and the constant insecurity around her weight. It is not very clear if she is even overweight as it only mentions her having some curves. I was annoyed with this as it was a little overkill on someone who really does not appear overweight at all. I do like how it hits on insecurities though and how Connor really tries to help her through this.

This does deal with issues/triggers of mental health, acceptance, family, love, body image and more. It had a little bit of everything.

I really wish the Off Campus Series and the Briar U series would be adapted into a TV series. It would be so good. I am obsessed with both series and all of the characters. I am heart broken to know this is the end of the Briar U series!

Kind of all over the place

They had the maturity of high school students more than college students in their junior year. Some parts were humorous and the characters were mostly likable. Not the best of Briar

Great new book for this amazing series

Conor and Taylor's friends to lovers story was fantastic, I love both characters so much. I always enjoy a dare trope book and this one was no exception. Taylor has some insecurities making her real and Conor was the one that showed her the way to overcome them. The whole story is sweet and swoony, the romance is perfect and as always you get the humor and angst level of Elle Kennedy within the whole series. I am loving each book more than the one before. Sport romance combined with a dare is just a perfect read for any day, brilliant 5 stars!

Loved it

What's not to love about a story that has Teddy Hamilton as the narrator. In the continuation of the Briar U series I think I liked this one the best. New story line that incorporates just enough of the characters from the previous books where it does not make you feel like you just read the same story. Appropriately titled a dare turns into a real relationship that has its own challenges but it makes you feel outside of the dare these are real issues (body shaming) that college students go through.

Journey of rediscovery, Briar U all the way

Devoured this book in a day. Taylor and Conor are described as being physically different but I loved how Kennedy explored how insecurities can come in all forms. Loved watching these two lean on each other on a journey of rediscovery. Stick with it...its worth the listen ❤️
