Publisher's summary

Rachel has always been a good girl--until her 30th birthday, when her best friend Darcy throws her a party. That night, after too many drinks, Rachel ends up in bed with Darcy's fiancé Dex. Rachel is horrified to discover that she has genuine feelings for Dex. She prays for fate to intervene, but when she makes a choice she discovers that the lines between right and wrong are blurry, endings aren't always neat, and you have to risk all to win true happiness.

Drama drama drama

I cannot believe how much estrogen filled drama this book is. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely loved every second of it, and I think having seen the movie really helps because it brings to light how different certain aspects of the book can be.
The movie versions are far more annoying and superficial than the book version - well except for Darcy; she’s the worst no matter what lol

Meh

Ok in the beginning, dragged on in the middle, ok in the end. Wouldn't recommend. Might give the next book in the series a try to see if it gets better.

Jennifer Wiltsie is the bomb.com

Jennifer Wiltsie is the bomb.com she's the best reader I have ever heard and 1/2 the reason I'm even going to listen to the next book in the series. I'm not a huge fan of the story, but I know I enjoyed it so much more listening to this audiobook version.

Love this story and the narrator nailed it!

I read this a long time ago (way before the movie ruined it). The narrator is incredible nailing all the characters and inflections. In would highly recommend!

Good story, didn't like the narrator

I saw the movie first and wanted to give the book a try. I rarely think this, but the movie was better, in my opinion. Ethan's character was better in the movie. The narrator I didn't like so much. Her voice just didn't match the character. I was expecting a Ginnifer Goodwin type of voice, naturally, and instead I got a much older sounding lady that didn't seem to grasp Rachel's personality. I will still read/listen to the next books as I do love the story and characters and the narrator is different in the next book, which is about Darcy's character, and the reviews are good.

Awesome book

I've read this book many times and then got the audio version because I wanted to hear it on a road trip. I thought the narration was good, though I really didn't like how pathetic the main character sounded. She didn't sound that bad in my head. Other than that, great book written by a great author and a great story that isn't exactly black and white. I would definitely recommend it.

Great Listen

I read this book a few years ago and I loved it. I really enjoyed the audio book too. It's bringing me back to the summer I first read the book. The reader is really great and is good at engaging you. Some great laugh out loud moments too.
