A deadly diagnosis...
In the fifth and final audiobook in the Redemption series, plans are being made for a family reunion. Nearly all the Baxters have a reason to celebrate - except one. As the preparations get under way, a deadly diagnosis sends shock waves through the family and threatens to tear them apart.
A heartbreaking secret...
The reality of what might lie ahead brings each of the Baxters to a place of faith and honesty. In the process, John and Elizabeth come to grips with a secret they haven’t shared with anyone, a secret they rarely admit even to themselves. At the same time, a young man is making his rise in Hollywood and wondering about his place in life.
A glorious celebration...
Amid the threat of sorrow, the Baxters share in their most wonderful celebration of all - a moment to remember that love always wins out, no matter how long the struggle, and God reigns even in the darkest night.
A story of God’s grace and redemption, even in the most difficult times.

Sometimes life can be hard and we never know why. Kingsbury masterfully and gracefully pulls together the blessings and frayed edges of a family and presents them with hope and redemption. I enjoyed how the author kept her story real and allowed us to stumbled over the triumphs and trials of life with this family, leaving us reflecting on our own faith values, family and most importantly-Our King.
I haven't cried through a book...especially toward the end of the story. Not for a long time when I could see to read printed books. I really got into this book. I HIGHLY recommend this book!!!!!
This story was truly motivating, uplifting and spiritually identifiable for me. Absolutely loved it.
This series beginning with Redemption is absolutely wonderful! The storyline is gripping and compelling bringing both tears and laughter. The different "life" situations cover such a variety of heartbreaking and exhilarating subjects that I found myself touched by each one in some situation in my own life. The "counseling" covered by Mr. Smalley I am sure, will touch the heartstrings of anyone facing any one of the given circumstances written about in any of the separate books from promiscuity to adultery, from terminal illness and reprieve from the same. From marital problems to the taking of a partner for life and last but not least for me the heartwarming care of Alzheimers patients. Thank you Karen Kingsbury and Gary Smalley!!!
Loved the entire series all 5 books were very well written. The Baxter family was like any other family who lived in God and trusted in Him throughout their life.
