Now this New York Times best seller is available as a Spanish-language audiobook. Set in South Carolina in 1964, The Secret Life of the Bees is the history of Lily Owens, whose life has been formed around the confused memory of the afternoon on which her mother was murdered. This is a notable novel about female power, divine and human, and a story that women will share and pass from mother to daughter for generations.

"A moving first novel...Lily is an authentic and winning character and her story is compellingly told." (USA Today)
I decided to hear this book in Spanish. It is a wonderful translation. The novel was moving and historical. The contrast between those who hate and those who love is clearly defined and, since love wins, it gives us hope. Very creative. I highly recommend it.
