Mercedes Guerrero (Aguilar de la Frontera, Córdoba, 1963). She is a Technician in Tourism Companies and Activities and has managed various companies related to the sector before embarking on her career as a writer in 2010. A great reader and passionate about history, she tries to offer in her stories the experiences and feelings of her characters, as well as an entertaining and dynamic vision of the historical context in which they take place. Both her first novel, El árbol de la diana (Debolsillo 2010) and Las sombras de la memoria (Debolsillo 2015) are included in the institutional framework of education in France in the books of regulated education in Spanish. She is also the author of La última carta (Debolsillo 2011), La mujer que llegó del mar (Random 2013) and Sin mirar atrás (Debolsillo 2016). February 2020 saw the publication of El baile de las marionetas (Debolsillo), a publishing phenomenon that is making headway in Spain, Mexico and the United States. A story based on true events that has been recommended as a support for the subject of History in many Spanish secondary schools and with which his career took off meteorically, sweeping the bestseller lists of online platforms and adding more than twelve editions. In September 2023 Grijalbo publishes his most ambitious novel, La sinfonía de Julia, with which he continues to increase the number of readers and followers all over the world.
