Who was your favorite character and why?

Griff - I can relate to his feelings and longings for someone he thinks he can never have.

What about Charlie David’s performance did you like?

He has an incredibly sexy voice! I loved how he made me feel like he was talking in that sexy voice to me, when he was voicing the different roles. Also, he performed the sex scenes to perfection!!!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Yes, this book made me very happy, even through the sad parts. I longed for Dante right along with Griff, and when the book was finished, I was so sad it was over. Now I just go back and listen to my favorite parts again!

Any additional comments?

Don't let the somewhat corny name fool you. This is an excellent romance novel for anyone that is gay or LGBT-friendly. I wish more straight people would read this book, to empathize with what gays go through every single day.

Have you listened to any of Charlie David’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

This was my first Charlie David performance and I'm hooked. His narration of this book was absolutely incredible. He was funny, steamy, smoldering - the perfect storyteller for this genre. I'm looking for other books now that he narrated.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No only because I'm not able to do that. Only have time to listen when I drive but if I could have I would have.

Any additional comments?

There were certain scenes in this book that I just had to re-listen to, and that isn't typical for me. Once the book is over, I'm usually done with it. But this narrator - OMG - I couldn't get enough of it. He took a good story and elevated it for the listener into a real performance.

This was a FANTASTIC story! I thoroughly enjoyed every moment. Not only was the story good but the narrator was phenomenal. We all know how a bad narrator can make listening to an audiobook painful. Charlie David made listening to this book a real pleasure.

What does Charlie David bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Charlie David is a brilliant narrator! His characterizations, inflections, and his performance of all the onomatopoeia add so much dimension to the simple text of the book! Well cast:)

Spicy AND Sweet!

Hottest thing I've heard in quite a while combined with an amazingly sweet story. Will definitely do this one again!

Would you consider the audio edition of Hot Head to be better than the print version?

The audio edition is better because of Charlie David's performance. His voice is a good fit with the characters and he's able to speak the different accents, from Jersey to Russian.

What other book might you compare Hot Head to and why?

Although they're of different milieu, but as of quality, I would rank it among the top of my favorite books with "Something Like Summer" by Jay Bell.

Dante has this loud, and expressive character yet vulnerable. He's my favorite character as performed by Charlie David.

Who was the most memorable character of Hot Head and why?

I love the giant redhead, Griff's quiet strength. And who would not be turned on by the description of his anatomy?

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I wasn't expecting much because of the title "Hot Head". I found it tacky but after finishing the book, I see why it was named as such.

What made the experience of listening to Hot Head the most enjoyable?

This was my first audio book experience ever. And my initial review was not great. HOWEVER, I have listened to this audio since, and feel like I should not be so "hard" on it.

'Hot Head' is a "gay for you", sweet and sexy m/m HEA. Was it a great story? Well, no. But it was a love story set around firefighters after 9-11. So, some of the descriptions and flash backs were touching and tough to swallow. (in a good way)

The narrator Charlie David did a NY accent in female and male voices like a champ. The very extended scene towards the end of the book where the two firefighters finally "ENAGAGE" is amazingly hot and narrated to point of me feeling like I am in the room with the two gents. Yea. It was steamy.

Yes, most likely. I love the story and the charachters.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Charlie David?

not sure. I wasn't thrilled with the way he narrates. It was odd to figure out the breaks and when the dialogue was internal vs speaking as the narrator used the same voice narrating as he did for the charachter
