Publisher's summary

Number-one New York Times best-selling author Nora Roberts cordially invites you to meet childhood friends Parker, Emma, Laurel, and Mac - the founders of Vows, one of Connecticut’s premier wedding planning companies.

Parker Brown turned the quartet’s childhood game of Wedding Day into their dream jobs. And now she’s the face of Vows - the one who meets every bride’s demands; keeps every event on schedule; and brings Emma’s romantic flowers, Laurel’s delicious treats, and Mac’s stunning photography together in one glorious package. She knows how to make dreams come true.…

Mechanic Malcolm Kavanaugh loves figuring out how things work, and Parker Brown - with her mile-long legs - is no exception. But as a good friend of Parker’s brother, Mal knows that moving from minor flirtation to major hookup is a serious step.

No man has rattled Parker in a long time, but the motorcycle-riding, raven-haired Mal seems to have a knack for it. His passionate kisses always catch her off guard, much like her growing feelings for him. Parker’s business risks have always paid off, but now she’ll have to take the chance of a lifetime with her heart….

Bride Quartet

Wonderful chemistry between the Malcolm and Parker. My favorite of the four books. Great ending.

Best Series Ever!

Parker finally got her own book and it's with Mal! *happy dancing around the room* Like the rest of the series this book is great. The last chapter made me smile like a loon and sigh of happiness. Angela Dawe was a joy to listen to, and her voices are easily distinguishable.

Outstanding conclusion to the Bride Quartet Series

What would have made Happy Ever After better?

Nothing! This series was so fun to read. Happy Ever After is an excellent ending to the bridal quartet series. I enjoyed each of the books so much. Nora Roberts/J D Robb is my all time favorite author.

What did you like best about this story?

Happy endings and escape are two of the reasons why I read and this book did not disappoint me. The characters are great! Nora Roberts creates such wonderful characters!

What about Angela Dawe’s performance did you like?

I enjoyed the performance of Angela Dawe. She is an excellent narrator and would enjoy hearing more books performed by her.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

I loved this book as well as the other three books of this series. The characters are excellent. They are fun and believable. The story line is a new one and not a repeat of the same subject(s). This series is another reason why Nora Roberts is such an outstanding writer! I have read all of her books and will continue to do so whether she is writing as Nora Roberts or J D Robbs.

Any additional comments?

I can't wait for the next book written by Nora Roberts/J D Robb by such a talented writer.

Good story

I loved the story. I am an event planner and was amused and pleasantly surprised at how the wedding planning business was right on. I would have given the story a 5 star rating except I hated the voice the narrator used for the man male character. She did other male voices well, just not this one. I enjoyed her voice and the rest of the reading, just not that particular voice. In spite of that, I was glad I made the purchase.

Great end to a great Quartet!

When you just want to read about a romance this is a perfect book. You really connect with the characters. You are able to image you actually in the scene with the characters!

Parker and Mal did not disappoint!

Wow! Nora did it again. I'm sad to see this series come to an end. I have enjoyed the women of Vows immensely. Once again, the combination of Nora Roberts as author and Angela Dawe as narrator wins! What a great series. I recommend it to anyone.

Dialogue

This quartet of books are my favorite novels by Nora Roberts. The dialogue is incomparable, so fresh and real. I have read the four of them over and over and have listened on Audible.

I read this series and I have to say I loved it! I felt as if I knew each of the characters and was experiencing the story through them. I wanted to get married again and let Vows plan the whole thing. Great book!

Terrific finish to a great series!

What made the experience of listening to Happy Ever After the most enjoyable?

I love all of these characters and wanted to see them all come full circle - and Nora Roberts did it beautifully! Like so many who reviewed the first in the series, Vision in White, the narrator did not vary the voices at all and I agree that the lisp was in all of the characters and was very distracting. Angela Dawe, however, who narrated the following 3 books was wonderful!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Loved them all!

What about Angela Dawe’s performance did you like?

All of the voices were very distinct - even her male characters sounded male (not always easy for women to accomplish). She also infused so much life and varying emotions into each one so that I actually felt what they were feeling! Of course, having Nora Roberts flesh them all out so completely has to help a good narrator.

If you could take any character from Happy Ever After out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Parker because she is organized like I am, and yet (with the help of her Tums) is able to go with flow - she doesn't lose it when faced with the many problems that arise in putting on weddings.

Any additional comments?

I think this would make a great TV series - even a 69-year old woman like me - married to a terrific guy for 45 years - enjoys a good wedding, complete with some bridezillas, take-charge mothers, feuding among wedding party members, the endless potential for drama. Even if it starts with all of the ladies already married, the way these couples communicate and are always there for each other is something that would be refreshing for young girls and women to see!
