Veryyyyy Slow Burn
I kept waiting for it to ramp up. While there were a few tense moments- much of the detail in the book was tedious and did not drive the story line. I guess maybe if I weren't expecting more of a romance novel it wouldnt have been as rough. Juanita McMahon did a great job reading overall, though. a few spots where I got confused but rare.

Surprise!!!
I wanted a thriller but got a beautiful love story, romantic love and motherly love. Even so there was enough mystery to keep me listening. My only negative thought was that it was longer than necessary. Oh and Ms McMahon narration, fantastic.

Should be a warning
It's not that it's poorly written. And it's well-read. Just that the characters are often nasty low-lifes and there's lesbian scenes and hateful sick-o's. Not for traditionalist/Christians.
