It's just as good!
All of it.
When Beth was protecting Wrath from the rabid dogs.
It made me swoon and I became a die hard fan of JR Ward!
I've always like the narrator. I enjoy listening to his voice.
I can't pick just one thing. I was searching for a new series after reading the Anita Blake series and this one was suprisingly refreshing. I have read a lot of other paranormal romance series and the main characters are usually female, bad ass females true but what I really love about this series is that you get both points of view - female and male and the primary one is male. The thought process is still there but it is much quicker and to the point. It is a nice change. I love the strength of the characters - their loyalty, fierceness, repect for each other, their mates and their race and history. The story does a great job of balancing the drama of war/violence and romance without either one taking the stage for too long or being drawn out in any way. The action keeps the story moving and you just feel for all the characters and want to know where they all end up. You not only get both the male and female perspective but also the perspective from the brotherhood and their enemies. They are warriors and the author does a fanstastic job of introducing you to the warrior mentality and it is fierce and Hot! The narrator is also great. Some of the reviews made me weary but I think he nails the voices perfectly.
Wrath and Beth's first meeting. The author does such a good job of putting you in their heads, it is too good to give too much away~
I thought he did a fantastic job with them all - I guess it would be a toss up between wrath and butch. wrath is the ultimate warrior king and butch is the strong comic relief seeing this world for the first time.
A great start to the series. I can't wait to see where the series takes all the brothers.
Yes, its a combo of 50 shades meets True Blood!
The hot passion between The King and his Beth!
When the King went to see her again after he scared her half to death the first time! The way she reacted to him was so intense!
50 shades meets True Blood
Cant wait to listen to all 11 books in the series!
Yes, great story line, dark and romantic
Wrath, I liked his tough guy attitude, but when he was with Beth gentle and carrying
Never trust anyone who doesn't enjoy reading.
Absolutely! J.R. Ward's series are incredible!
J. R. Ward's Fallen Series. The men are the same type of men... big, strong, manly, sexy and loveable.
I LOVE the narrator! Hope JIM F. NEVER stops narrating the series! Can't imagine anyone else but Jim, for the series!
I love EVERY book & every aspect of each book!
I can't tear myself away from any book in this series! Once I begin listening, I can't stop!
I've never enjoyed a series as much as the Black Dagger Brotherhood (BDB)..The author can't keep up with my eagerness for the next book...Can hardly wait for another BDB 'fix'
I'm addicted! So well written, I can see everything in my mind! Ms.Ward, just write the books as fast as you can, for all of us who enjoy everything about this series!!!
Enjoy the adventure
Realized that I was clueless on Vampires, and gave J. R. Ward a ride. Decided that part of the popularity for Vampire Books is because good girls like bad boys.
Sassy dialogue, humor, and a great reader are important to me.
long hours in this 10 book series. If you do not like long stories, do not start this series. Reading pace is not fast so listen to a few samples before buying book #1.
Butch, tough, caring and sexy. Book #4 is his story.
reader brings all these warriors to life. His female voice is Ok, which many male reader can not do a good job.
Our hero, W. when he eats a chicken leg and rice, will just grab your heart.
Beware, if you tend to be addictive, this author reels you in on every book for the next
story in line. Normally you do not need to start with book 1, but a person should in this series as the author sets it up and does not write books independent of each other as other authors generally do.
Usually I don't ready fantasy novels set in modern times but for this book it made some of the characters more relatable.
My favorite character... well its a tie between Wrath and Beth.
This was the first audio book that I listened to that Jim Frangione narrated.I am listening right now to the second book.
Me in MN
The dialogue was juvenile, the love story under-developed and the plot thin and basically without suspense. This was painful to listen to and disappointing in every way.
