Publisher's summary

Sometimes kissing the Beast doesn't turn it into a Prince Charming - instead, he's a charming prince you want to punch....

Jules is an ordinary 19-year-old omega from a perfectly respectable family. He’s not the most beautiful, or the smartest, or the strongest of the four Blake siblings. And he’s fine with it, really. He isn’t ugly or anything, but by omega standards, he’s nothing special. “Nothing special” describes Jules’ whole life. It’s utterly boring.

So when strange things start happening in their house, it piques Jules’ curiosity. There’s a beast in the Blake family mansion; Jules is sure of it. He sometimes hears growls and screams coming from the basement, and the men guarding the door look positively terrified. What could terrify grown alphas? Jules will have to investigate!

But his investigation comes with surprises...like the Beast’s overwhelming effect on Jules’ omega nature. It doesn’t mean anything. Of course it doesn’t. Jules is just curious; that’s all.

Curiosity can change a life, but when you’re attracted to a feral alpha whose real face you haven’t even seen...will it change for the better? What if the Beast is no Prince Charming, but a coldhearted, cynical bastard? A bastard Jules shouldn’t want - but does. A bastard Jules should stay away from - but can’t.

Awesome

Devlin Wylde narration of Feral was brilliant. His performance was sexy , entertaining and very engaging. I played audio at an 1.35 speed and worked great for me.

Alessandra Hazard has another winner with Feral.

Awesome!

OMG, I‘ve been waiting for months for this audiobook (I checked every single day), and finally I could enjoy it! The book is awesome (is my favorite) and the Devlin Wylde perfomance was very good, just like in Unnatural.
It’s not an instalove and I really like the building feelings. It’s so endearing to know that the Devlin’s focus was unconsciously on Jules only, even in the beginning (although he doesn’t notice it, of course). It’s sweet to see their interactions during “Liam’s courting”.
A thing I loved in their story is that we can feel their desperation, their need to be together, right that moment. It’s totally hot!
I still don’t know how Devlin manages to sneak out of the Blake’s house that morning after their night together, but it’s fictional, so let’s believe that nobody saw him and that’s it! I’m happy enough with the outcome.
Devlin and Jules are an amazing couple.
I hope to see more of them in Illicit! And the uncle totally needs to pay for his doings!

Hot

Love this one so much. Even more than the first one.

Its got angst. Pining. Forbidden love. Forced amnesia . Spice

Their relationship dynamic is similar to Anthony Bridgerton and Kate. (But mm and obviously more feral 😈

5/5 stars

This book was amazing, it wasn’t to cliche and went along very nicely with the wrong alpha book 1. I loved the chemistry between Julian and his “grace”, this just hit all the right spots for me between the heart clenching moments and the swoon worthy ones. Alessandra Hazard has once again blown me away.

Ps- this is a stand alone but I recommend reading book 1 before. And you should read the straight guy’s series, 10/10.

I've been waiting for this one

In this book, "Elizabeth Bennet" (19M) rescues "Mr. Darcy" (31ishM) from a lab in which he is being tortured. They hit it off big time, but then are separated. When they come back together, neither recognizes the other, and for reasons, Mr. Darcy starts courting Jane.

Ok, comparisons to Pride and Prejudice aside...

This narrator's style is sometimes a little too slow for me, so I listened at 1.10, and that worked better for me. He does a good growly voice, but his voices are less distinct than some. Wasn't a problem. It's always clear from the text who is speaking.

This story is very different from the first. It picks up where the first left off, more or less, although we get some of the story about where Devlin was during the time he was missing. Part of that story arc is still unresolved in this book.

Jules is also much younger than the MCs in the first book and than Devlin. He is an appealing character, too curious and soft hearted for his own good, but not TSTL.

I'm now on the nth relisten, and it is the scene at the first ball that inspired the first paragraph.

Really good book with a great narrator. I snapped this book up the minute I knew the audio was available and was not at all disappointed. Devlin and Julian’s story is so good.

Love it

I definitely recommend starting with the first book so you don't feel like you've been dropped into the story, but I greatly enjoyed this book even without the first book having been read.
