Danger is heating up....

When Carly Reese's beloved fashion boutique catches fire, she sees her dreams go up in smoke. The good news is that Carly was saved from the flames by a barking dog nearby. She soon discovers the heroic pooch is a trained K-9 who's guarding his unconscious partner...a gorgeous firefighter who ends up in Carly's arms.

Noah Glover and his K-9 are a fearless duo, and Noah has clearly met his match with the brave, beautiful Carly. Soon they team up to track down the arsonist behind the blast-a psychotic criminal who's intent on framing Noah. Meanwhile, the sparks between Noah and and Carly could ignite a five-alarm fire. Should they smother their feelings in the name of justice...or fan the flames of passion?

Good

I'm glad D.D. Ayres has the same wonderful narrator Jeffrey Kafer for this series. The story was good but rushed at the end. As was the last audiobook. Of the last three, I preferred #3. But still worth a credit. 😄

liked listening to it

I listen while walking my dogs and a couple of times I'm sure I had interesting faces if people had been looking. Good story line and interesting characters.

Sex overpowers any other story line

If you want a detailed explicit sex scene over and over and over and over again this is your book. If you want a drama about a K-9 I would look elsewhere. To bad, it could have been a really good story.

Entertaining

I really enjoyed this story. It was interesting and a little different than the prior ones since this time we had a arson fire detective and explosive detection K9. Carly ends up helping a drugged Noah and tied up Harley out of a fire next door to her shop. Noah is being framed for arson and set up to look like he was killing himself. The evidence is starting to stack up against him and the biggest problem is they can't quite figure out who another suspect could be. Once Carly starts getting more details and believes Noah, she can't just leave it alone and their connection starts to build. They aren't supposed to be together due to her being a witness and Noah being a suspect but her mind just keeps digging and they are drawn to each other. I thought the story was interesting and entertaining. I was engaged and enjoyed the story the entire time. It had a few twists as well. This is the 5th in the series but it is a complete standalone. It didn't really have any characters that had been introduced in any of the past stories in this one.
The narrator did a good job with the story.
