It's a hard knock life for Saucy Sarita Robinson, and the rules of the game are clear: Get yours or get had. When her father gets popped in an armed robbery and her mother turns to drugs, Saucy is left to scratch out a life for herself on the streets of Harlem, and this city-slick vixen refuses to become a victim. Young, hot, and hungry for the spotlight, Saucy uses her assets to get whatever she wants: 128th Street has its own rules, and she knows them well. With sex as her weapon of choice, Saucy hustles her way into the heart of the hip-hop underworld, preying upon any man - or woman - who might help her get ahead. But Saucy just can't get enough. Her calculating nature and insatiable appetite for power and prestige tempt her into dangerous waters, and she finds herself in too deep.
The shot callers of the hip-hop world have a few tricks for Saucy: a plan to force her back onto the very streets that she came from. But Saucy refuses to go down easy. She plots her revenge against some of the most powerful playas in the music industry, never suspecting that her enemies will fight back...and fight back hard.

Say something about yourself!
The narrator was horrible! She was so dry I couldn't even enjoy the book.
The style of the book was the usual. I love all the Noire books. Saucy was a mess. I loved it drama to the fullest. Just couldnt get past the performance everybody sound the same.
Nothing I liked the saucy from the other book.
This is a must if you enjoy urban fiction! I really enjoyed all the twists and turns this story takes you on, but most of all I enjoyed what Noire had to say after the story was over! I knew and still know women like "Saucy" so I know this story all too well! Thank you Noire for the entertaining stories and for the enlightenment. I will definitely recommend to a friend!
Not one of Noire best and the narrator was horrible!
I'm a fan or Noire, but this story just didn't do it for me. I really dislike listening to stories by this narrator , she's horrible, her voice is irritating, she makes a bunch of mistakes and takes long pointless pauses, but it's a book of Noire's so I figured I'd give it a go. Maybe if there was a different narrator my opinion of the story itself would be different.
It was hard to get through this book mainly because the narrator was so dry. She had no enthusiasm, took awkward pauses and couldn't get through the some of the words. Then I couldn't stand Saucy. She was so triffling and selfish it was unbearable. She was horrible to her "best friend" and while she was quick to call everyone a hater, she was the biggest one of them all. For all the grimey stuff that she did her karma should have been wayyyy worse than what it was, she really got off easy.
intertwined into one! She had a horrible childhood but instead of focusing on overcoming those tribulations by working hard in school, doing the opposite of what her mom was she became just as bad or even worse. She selfish, believed the world revolved around her, felt she looked better than everyone else, used her looks to lie, cheat and manipulate others to get what she wanted. and even when she lost everything and hit rock bottom, she still believed she did nothing wrong! Struggled to finish this book Cuz I couldn't stand her, she had everything fame, good friend a good man and a beautiful child but she chose sex drugs and the night life and lost it all!! How selfish!! The book should have been read by Nicole Small!!! , felt the narrator could have been better, she just read instead of getting into "character" had she done that, I would have finished the book in one sitting. Although this book is a work of fiction the character displays many different woman in one! It's an unfortunate reality.
this book is the best book I read and I don't know how long I can't even begin to tell you how this book has me feeling I mean the book is pretty grimy this girl had major issues and she was selfish I believe that I can't believe that you captured this character like this she is by far the most Grimey's selfish character I know I wanted to feel sorry for her but the girl was just all the way gone dirty I couldn't feel sorry for her even though she went through a lot a lot of the stuff she brought on herself must buy this book if you don't read any other book please read this book
I don't understand why they would let this woman narrate this book. I read this book about 5 years ago and I loved it so much that I was beyond excited to listen to it as an audiobook but once I hit play I regretted it immediately!!!! This narrator is the worst!! She could bored the dead to sleep!! Why would they let her narrate this book????? I literally would rather listen to anyone else on Earth than her because she has ruined this book for me! She has no emotion in her voice at all!!! She reminds me of that actor Ben Stein on that Clear Eyes commercial "You got dry eyes"!!! She sounds just like him!! I'm sorry to compare her to you Ben Stein because even you're not that boring!!! I refuse to recommend this version of this book to anyone!!!! I suggested you get it on Kindle or in print because if this is the format you choose you are going to regret it immediately!! I was very sad to see that this is not the only book that she has massacred!!! I tried to Google a picture of her just to put a face to the annoying voice and you can not find one and I don't blame her!!! I wouldn't want anyone to know that this was me either!!! I love this author but I will never ever download another one of her books or anyone else's if Kim Johnson is the narrarator!!! Hunny do us all a favor and make this the last audiobook that you obliviate thank you!!!!
