Audie Award Nominee, Personal Development, 2013
Joan Price is talking out loud about a subject that is often ignored or ridiculed in our society: later-life sexuality. Naked at Our Age is a candid, straight-talking book addressing senior sexuality in all its colors - the challenges, the disappointments, and the surprises, as well as the delights and the love stories. Naked at Our Age gives real-life people over 50 a voice to tell stories of their past and present sex lives, ask questions, and get straightforward advice and information from experts. No topic related to elder sexuality is off-limits.
In Naked at Our Age, women and men - coupled and single, straight and gay - talk candidly about how their sex lives and relationships have changed with age, and about how they see themselves, their partners, or their single life. Many of them are having unsatisfying sex, or no sex at all, and are seeking advice. Price presents their personal stories, and follows up with tips from sex therapists, health professionals, counselors, sex educators, and other knowledgeable experts. Naked at Our Age is an entertaining and indispensable guide to handling and understanding the issues of senior sex and relationships.

I have been married to the same wonderful wife for over 27 years and have two adult children, out of the house, that are married, working, and doing well.
My wife and myself listen to this book to together and apart from one another and we found it helpful in our marriage.
This book is not a story but the advise that Joan Price gave that I found the most helpful was to be willing to go to the sex toys shop and get a pump for myself.
Suzanne Toren is an excellent reader and speaker.
My wife like the part about lubricants the most enjoyable and helpful to her and I found the part about E.D. the most helpful to me.
I'm Audible's first Editor-at-Large, the host of In Bed with Susie Bright -- and a longtime author, editor, journo, and bookworm. I listen to audio when I'm cooking, playing cards, knitting, going to bed, waking up, driving, and putting other people's kids to bed! My favorite audiobooks, ever, are: "True Grit" and "The Dog of the South."
Joan Price has written two books on the nitty-gritty of sex after sixty: this one, and "Better Than I Expected."
Joan is so forthright, so real about what it feels like to have a mature mind and body, while part of you may always feel like seven...she just gets it.
We all know the hard parts: Loneliness, loss, physical challenges—and yet, our libido and fire remain, along with our need for connection and intimate creativity. I think she tells it like it is!
If you're aging and wondering about your sex life—or you have a friend or parent who you see looking for some answers (or at least the right questions!)—I can't recommend Joan enough.
Narrator, Suzanne Torren has a voice like honey, and a knowing way with her phrasing. I buy whatever she's selling.
I'm a retired book editor who likes to grumble about things.
I'm not sure what to say about this book. I was hoping for straightforward information about successful strategies for coping with an aging body and mind that don't always agree about sex. And indeed, there is some helpful information. But there are also a lot of personal reminiscences, read in a fairly plummy tone, that at times seem like too much information about our author's sex life. I feel like I'm reading Ladies Home Journal.
"This is brilliant"
I have to say that if I can implement some of Joan's suggestions life could not get better than this. The honest comments, questions, reactions, & expert advice is much to be taken to mind, heart, & body.
