Publisher's summary

It's been months since Brian Sinclair, lead guitarist for the famous rock band Sinners, composed anything. Unable to write the music that once flowed so naturally, Brian is lost without his musical mojo. But when sexy psychology professor Myrna Evans comes on tour to study groupie mentality, Brian may have found the spark he needs to reignite his musical genius. When lust turns to love, will Brian be able to convince Myrna that what they have is more than just a fling, and that now that he's found his heart's muse, he doesn't want to live without her?

Backstage

Slow start and I almost stopped. Some lighthearted moments of humor from Myrna. Kind of what you’d expect from a rock band. A little disconnect for me between the main character and her love interest Bryan. Understanding her problem with the word love drags through the entire book without explanation until almost the last word. Also a strange threesome between two best friends and Myrna felt like it was just thrown in to fill a requisite order for a threesome. Lots of characters and the narration went fairly well

Great Book!

Where does Backstage Pass rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Backstage Pass is among the top 10 audiobooks I've listened to. It is a great first book to the series.

Which scene was your favorite?

I don't want to spoil anything, but the way Brian composed music the first time with Myrna

Any additional comments?

Well worth the credit!! If read in order, Double Take shouldn't be listened to until after Eric's book comes out. I REALLY hate that they are out of order.

Mixed reactions/feelings about this novel.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I am sure if my time was well spent. I had mixed reactions/feelings about this book.

Would you ever listen to anything by Olivia Cunning again?

Maybe

What about Justine O. Keef’s performance did you like?

Justine's performance was OK.

Any additional comments?

I loved and hated this novel. It had many steaming sex. I enjoyed this portion of the book. I like most of the supporting characters. I loved Bryan Sinclair, the hero. He was sweet and super romantic. However, I could not stand Myrna, the heroine. At times, I found her quite annoying. I thought her feelings were really dragged out. Jeremy, the bad guy's character, was really weak. After all the build up through the whole book, his confrontation with Myrna and Bryan was really weak. All in all, it was an OK novel.

Finally....

After reading on Goodreads what a fabulous series this was, I couldn't believe that it was finally added!! The narrator was incredible and I loved the characters and story! I would have given it 5 stars, but didn't like some of the turns the story took.....just personal preference.

I will be downloading in anticipation the next book.......lets not let it be too long!!!

LOVE SINNERS !!!

Where does Backstage Pass rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love happy endings; this one doesn't disappoint. Even though the storyline is pretty typical I really liked it. Liked the getting to know the characters; all the characters are distinct and unique. Can't wait to get to know them better in upcoming books. This was my first listen from this author and narrator - thought they both did a great job. The sex "love-making" was amazing and sometimes anxiety-producing; certainly did it for me.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Backstage Pass?

The end

What does Justine O. Keef bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Listening to a book, for me, as long as it has an exceptional narrator, is much more enjoyable. I love hearing the inflections, the passion, the heart, something I do not do easily in my own head when I read. Ms. O. Keef does a pretty good job. Male voices could be a little gruffer, but overall she does them pretty good.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Not sure.

Worth a credit

Overall, this book is worth a credit. The story requires a certain suspension of disbelief, such as how the characters get together in spite of their different ages and backgrounds, and such as when Myrna, a 35 year-old doctor of human sexuality is "shocked" to discover that Brian, her heavy metal rock star lover, has engaged in threesomes in the past! This after she has spent three months interviewing the band's groupies. But in spite of that, the characters are likeable and the sex scenes are steamy. I'll try more books in the series.

Older woman and a lonely rockstar

What made the experience of listening to Backstage Pass the most enjoyable?

It brought the book up a notch. I had read the ebook before I purchased the audio version.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Brian. Because he was searching for the real thing. He finally found it in Myrna.

Which scene was your favorite?

The song, Tangled Up in You by Staind came to mind with the scene of Brian and Myrna making love in his bunk. Not the universal bedroom. The scene was more intimate in his bunk with the curtain drawn.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No. I did not want it to end.

Any additional comments?

Loved the different characters that made up this series

Sex, Hot, and Steamy

Book one is about Myrna a psychology and Brian sinners lead guitarist. Myrna meets Brian in a hotel lounge and is bent on having him for herself but with no string attached. This leads to lots of hot steamy sex between them and a happy ending.
I enjoyed listening to this book the narration is great and worth a credit
