Publisher's summary

Are you in charge of your emotions, or are they in charge of you?

Most people are slaves - or at least servants - to their emotions, and that doesn’t necessarily mean the emotions are always big and overpowering. Even people who show no emotion are not necessarily in charge of that part of themselves. Being able to identify and control emotions, and understanding the emotions of others, are all signs of an emotionally intelligent person.

EQ: The New IQ!

In the last few decades, emotional intelligence has come to be recognized as being just as important as someone’s IQ when it comes to predicting success in a career and in relationships. Someone with high EQ (emotional intelligence quotient) is more likely to be healthy and happy than someone who is puzzled by their own emotions and those of others. This audiobook will go over why this is, and give you a concrete action plan for increasing your EQ and reaping the rewards of emotional intelligence in business, relationships, and in virtually every aspect of life! Using specific tips, you can learn how to significantly and permanently increase your emotional intelligence. There’s a dark side to EQ, however, that you need to be aware of, and that will also will be explored in this audiobook so you can reap the rewards of a high EQ without suffering from the pitfalls.

Now, become emotionally intelligent in your life!

Emotions are like horses. When they are wild, they are dangerous and can lead you right off a cliff. When they are tamed, however, they can carry you to great things and satisfaction in life. Social and work situations will be easier to navigate, your relationships will be closer and less confusing, and your state of mind will be more peaceful. The goal of this audiobook is to give you insight into how the emotional brain works and how to grip the reins. When you are the leader and not the follower of your emotions, you’ll be amazed at the changes in your life.

Highly recommended

Highly recommended! This in-depth EI guide is a 5-hour read, but I don’t really mind. It’s very specific and has included rationales for reads to better understand why managing our emotions skillfully is significant.

brain information...

It gives you lots of advice on how to work with brainstorming issues to help solve brain problems. This audible is unbelievable and explains the only scientific background, brain information, but how it translates into thinking and behavior.

Allan Goldman prepared a wonderful emotional intelligence audio book. It has a good overview of what EI really is and easy-to-implement techniques making it easier for us to apply that certain skill in our workplace, in our families, and others.

New way

Any additional comments?

Overall, I think this book is great and can add new way to your life. However, I figure you would should be a decided audience to overcome the greater part of this book, as I didn't think the book was all that interesting, despite the fact that I finished listening it.
