Story
Many Americans dream of financial freedom, but they're stuck in dead-end jobs and don't know how to get there. You don't need to be one of them. If you invested $35,000 in the stock market today, it could take 52 years for that investment to grow to $1 million. But if you invested that same amount into one single-family $140,000 rental property, it would only take 19 years. With just two rental properties, you could generate $417,000 in profit in just 10 years. Skeptical?

Story
When is a story more than just a story? When does it become a myth? When it holds a piece of truth about our history, our morality, and the cosmos. Throughout history, humankind has used stories to explain the unknown. From the cycle of the moon to the changing of the seasons, tales about supernatural beings and events have served to account for the purpose of the cosmos. But mythology isn’t entirely fiction. These stories have been passed down for generations for a reason.

Publisher's summary
If you’re one of those people who spend your time worrying about hypothetical scenarios, you may have worried about what to do in the case of a gunshot wound. This is a realistic worry, as firearms become easier to obtain, and mass shootings plague the media.
What can you do to protect your family and those around you?
What should you do to be prepared to treat someone with a gunshot wound?
Where must you go to find out?
If you spend your time thinking about this repeatedly, imagining possible solutions for these problems, you’re one of those people who make everyone around them safer, and this book is perfect for you.
The search for these answers has led you to the right place; this book will teach you everything you need to know about gunshot wound treatment. You’ll learn about basic anatomy and physiology to develop a general understanding of how the body works, what could go wrong, and how to address it to sustain life. You’ll learn about ballistics and the kind of damage caused by a gunshot wound. You’ll learn about the proper use of bandages and immobilizations. You’ll learn how to apply CPR from beginning to end. Finally, you’ll learn the basic walkthrough to approach a wounded patient, step by step, and treat a gunshot wound.
All the knowledge in this book is up-to-date with the latest protocols and health guidelines. The information is reliable, precise, and safe to follow. The marines developed the scheme of the treatment-first approach to gunshot wounded patients used in this book, and it has increased their survival rate just like it’ll keep your family safe. The book’s designed to be a beacon of clarity between a sea of confusing and conflicting information.
After you’re done with this book, you’ll assemble a large first aid bag where every component will be there for a reason, and you’ll know how to use it. Most of the skills you develop will be useful for any situation, so you’ll know how to deal with injuries or accidents from a kid’s strain to a knife wound to the chest. However, an emphasis is made over the skills related to treating gunshot wounds.
Listen to this book from top to bottom, study it, practice the techniques described here, and prepare the best first aid kit you’ll ever need to treat a gunshot wound by following the instructions. The imaginary scenarios in your head will stop getting blurry and dark because you’ll know exactly what to expect and what to do. You’ll feel safer because you’ll know how to keep those around you alive and safe; there’s no effort too big or expense too high to get that safety for you and your family.

Little more than 100 years ago, maps of the world still boasted white space: places where no human had ever trod. Within a few short decades the most hostile of the world's environments had all been conquered. Likewise, in the 20th century, medicine transformed human life. Doctors took what was routinely fatal and made it survivable. As modernity brought us ever more into different kinds of extremes, doctors pushed the bounds of medical advances and human endurance. Extreme exploration challenged the body in ways that only the vanguard of science could answer.

Story
On average, a physician will interrupt a patient describing her symptoms within 12 seconds. In that short time, many doctors decide on the likely diagnosis and best treatment. Often, decisions made this way are correct, but at crucial moments they can also be wrong: with catastrophic consequences. In this myth-shattering book, Jerome Groopman pinpoints the forces and thought processes behind the decisions doctors make.

super book
Excellent book that provides a wealth of information about Glock pistols, It identifies the different generations, their rarity and why they are rare. All facets of the Glock pistols are presented in a basic chronologic order of manufacturer. I would have liked a complete list of part numbers by model and their interchangeability. All in all a super book for Glock fans and worth every penny!

This is an excellent book
This is an excellent book about almost anything related to smithing a rifle or pistol. It even goes through the process of cerakoting or painting. Bedding, mounting scopes and sights, metal work.

Everything good
I was recommended by a friend to read this book as I was shopping around for a compact concealed carry fire arm. I did not know much about the glock firearms so before buying I like to do my research. Forums and keyboard warriors are a feeble source of knowledge. I wanted something concrete. Something that someone with fact to back up what they were saying. This book recommended to me

Excellent helpful book for the person
Excellent helpful book for the person who works on their own firearms. Another excellent book is the same author’s earlier and somewhat more fundamental Gunsmithing Made Easy. The current book is more advanced. Both proved invaluable to me on recently installing Timney Triggers in Remington Model 700 and Model Seven/7 rifles. I really appreciated the help they gave me so that both installations were done well. I look forward to using these books on other firearm DIY jobs.

Overall a really informative and great read
Overall a really informative and great read from cover to cover. Most importantly the Author did not ramble on about personal stories. Most stories were of "what not to do" which was cool Im giving it 4 stars due to me feeling that it wasn't so much focused on modern firearms

Great resource for the firearm novice!
Great book for the firearm novice. Explains everything in great detail. It has a commonly used terminology section up front you can refer to if you if you don't know what a term means. It covers pistols and revolvers in depth. It gives a great explanation of the benefits and negatives of each for concealed carry. Highly recommend!

Good overview
As many have said this is not original for the author totally. That said it has a lot of good information in it. If you like Glock pistols you will find this book interesting and useful. Glad I have it.

I can only reply by what my grandson told me about
I can only reply by what my grandson told me about the book. He is in ROTC at school and has a keen interest in firearms, the history and making of them. I had asked him if he liked the book and he said he liked it a lot. As an Army veteran myself I encourage my children and grand children to learn the history of our country and world history. The history of war and the weapons that were used to fight them are an important part. War is an abomination, yet we continue to wage them against one another. This book does not glorify war, or violence it simply explains the mechanics
