Publisher's summary

So, I’m Drunk.

Daniel T. Drunk, Jr. if you really wanna know. And I’m on a plane headed to Paradise Isle on the trip of a lifetime. The occasion? My honeymoon. Except, there’s only one problem.

I’m riding solo.

It’s a really long story, and if you don’t mind, I’d prefer to leave it at that. Really? You must know? Fine, I get it. You’re the nosey type. Here’s the abbreviated version. I came within an inch of marrying a cheating slut. There. Get the picture? Good.

But that’s not what this story is about. This story is about what happened after I got to Paradise and a dead body showed up in my motel room.

And, of course, the cops tried to blame it on me.

And then the actual murderer decided they wanted me dead too.

F--k.

The hits just kept on coming.

And to top it all off. This woman started following me around the island, and she couldn’t seem to keep her hands off me. But not in a good way.

So if you’re interested in a bit of Caribbean flavored action and adventure, with a hint of sexual tension, a dash of unapologetic profanity, and a kick-ass ending, then this is your audiobook.

If you’re looking for the next best piece of literature since - oh, hell, who am I kidding? I don’t know shit about good literature. But if that’s what you’re looking for, then keep moving, cause this ain’t that.

If, however, you’re like me and just looking for a good time, then I’m your fella. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed.

Rated R for language, crude humor, and sexual innuendos. Rated A+ for entertainment value.

Better than I anticipated!

Took me a minute to get into this book. Did not like the main character at first. Thought he was a womanizing jerk...but he turned out to be quite likable by the end. Also, it's been awhile since I literally laughed out loud reading a book! Ended up being a pretty good read...and enough to tantalize me into reading the next book in the series.

Loved it. Would make a great TV Show on HULU or Netflix, get them all.

Great intro book with fantastic narration

I really enjoyed this book. It was funny from the start and sucked me in. The character’s last name is Drunk which makes for a lot of funny banter. Intro books always have to spend more time explaining the characters and setup, but this one got off to a fast start anyway and kept a great pace all the way through. Christopher Boucher was did a fantastic job narrating and really brought the characters to life. I would highly recommend!

Better then snakes.

Books don't have to be great to be good. This was fun, quirky and touched my funny bone. Just what I needed to break the winter blues here in the northwest.

Surprisingly Enjoyable

I really, really enjoyed this book. This is one that had been on my radar (for lack of a better cliche') for a long while. I am a big fan of Laurence Shames, and a nominal fan of Tim Dorsey. I enjoy stories that take place in tropical isles of paradise. This one did not disappoint. I have to admit that it was indeed off to a rough start for me while I tried to connect just a little bit with Drunk. Early on, he is not the most likable character which marks the aforementioned rough start. The language (aka four-letter words) is very abrupt and very present. I am not a prude in that sense by any means - I just prefer not to read (hear) it so abundant in literature at any level. That said, you have been warned (as I was in reading enough reviews prior). By the time Drunk landed and became acquainted with his surroundings on Paradise Island, I was interested. The rest was easy. I won't detail the reasons for a three star review as I will not divulge spoilers. Suffice it to say, this is a fun tale with really outstanding narration by Christopher Boucher. Surprisingly enjoyable, I downloaded the next installment immediately upon finishing this one.

Didn’t care for it

This book sounds as if a teenager with raging hormones wrote it. Finished it, but was glad it was over.

Fbombs are okay, after that the language is foul.

Struggled to finish too much very vulger language. It took away from the story. Some bad language can help develop a character, after that it is just too much for me.
