"The perfect thriller for the crazy world we live in." (Global best-selling author James Patterson)

Six months after being tasked with an off-the-books, international investigation, Ben Porter finds himself bedridden in a Washington, DC, hospital, beset with mysterious, life-threatening symptoms. Faced not only with tragedy but also with mounting pressure from his superiors, Ben is forced into an impossible choice: Does he fulfill his duty, or does he disobey his command? Or...can he do both?

Full review from James Patterson: “If you like Mitch Rapp and Jack Reacher, and I do, you’re going to devour the Ben Porter thrillers. Vital Deception could be the best yet. The story feels like it comes right out of today’s headlines. Vital Deception is the perfect thriller for the crazy world we live in.

The Ben Porter series has been optioned for film by Spyglass Media Group, and "Ben Porter is a whole new brand of 'hero' that will take audiences on a captivating ride", according to Peter Oillataguerre, president of production, Spyglass Media Group.

Wow

This story is riveting and it never lets up. But the performance by the readers is spectacular. Truly excellent.

Another great book in the series

Book number 4 is another great listen. The leading character and team would make wonderful TV series. 👍

Terrible to hear in a car!

There are so many changes in voice volumes, that this story is virtually impossible to hear in a car. If you turn it up loud enough to hear the “soft” voices, you lose your hearing when the “loud” voices happen.

I can’t rate the story as it was impossible to listen to in the car - even on “car” mode!

I wasted 1 credit downloading this book!

Don't waste your time

If you've read the previous Christopher Rosow books, you will be disappointed. Narration was annoying. I don't know any women who speak so haughty, snobbish and superior all the time and every woman in the audiobook speaks like this. Very unrealistic premise and storyline. No humor in this book either. Hard to believe as a relatively new agent in the FBI, that Ben is now so well respected by his superiors and admired at every level of government, that they let him call all the shots. All in all, I wish the main character was the same one I fell in love in the first book.
