Excellent ending

Well written story with plenty of suspense and angst and a happy ending. Well worth a credit.

Great story but a little too much drama

I can understand a “rough” life but how many times can one young girl get assaulted. (Possible spoiler) the last bit with Jace was overkill, too many spinoff storylines with Lola getting beaten.
I also just could not get past how young Lola is and the age difference between them, I wished the author had made her at least 21. I have a 19-year-old daughter and I just can’t imagine a 35-year-old man pursuing her.

Love the love story in an action book

Didn’t like Brody’s voice when he had to talk Lola’s parts in the book otherwise loved it!!

Good story line.

Enjoyed the story and the narrator’s were very good. I listened to both books in this series.
Would like to read more from this author.

Dark suspenseful age gap romance

First off, kudos to the female narrator. Her voice is beautiful. What a sad and hopeless life these people lived. Most of them by their own choosing. It takes courage just to exist, let alone rise above and get the hell out. I questioned the ability of the lead male character to not just turn around and do the same thing again, and even for a good guy he was unsettlingly wishy-washy. It was easy to get angry with him. But here's the thing, the author wrote a deeply twisted cast of characters and she was able to elisit strong emotional responses from the reader/listener, and that to me is an absorbing journey through this dark love affair. Equally, the passion was full of "those feelings", and I like the heat.

Excellent storyline and characters. The book kept your attention throughout the entire book. I can't wait to read more books from this author.
